Anyone who is making the minimum wage or any range between the old wage and the new one. For example, if the minimum wage was $1.00 per hour and was raised to $2.00/hour, anyone making between $1.00 and $1.99 would get an automatic raise to $2.00 anyone making $2.00 and above would remain the same, unless the employer raised his wage voluntarily.

Whoever gets paid below the new minimum wage is required by law to get at least the new wage.

Skilled laborers usually demand a pay rise too, they don't want to be making only pennies more than an unskilled teenager. And then rent prices go up, so lots of people have to demand pay rises.

Then, as other prices are forced up to pay the new minimum wage... well, you get inflation.

I used to think raises in the minimum wage were great, especially when I was a kid working for peanuts. But between jobs, they make your savings worth even less.
