I was going to, and then a friend said I shouldn't bother, especially since I'd only been at the job for 3 months. Then my bosses went and gave me a very lovely holiday gift--I'm thinking I should give them something now, but I'm almost out of time. Help! Thanks!

Depends.... do you like your job? Is your boss nice? The pooling idea is usually the best option that way you don't look like you are sucking up and you don't have to worry about only pitching in $3-5. If no one else wants to go in on a present, then don't worry about it ... just give them a nice holiday card!

Your boss gave you a present to let you know that you are part of the company and it is a GIFT. So don't feel pressured to give back .... just remember that they make more money than you anyway, plus it probably came out of the company fund and not their pocket.....

You should never give just because you received. You don't have to give your bosses anything, they didn't give to you just to get something back. I am a "boss" also. I'm the service department director at a Nissan dealership and I don't receive gifts from my employees (I have 15 employees working for me.) I don't take it personally. I don't buy them gifts, either

Many companies have a rule against this, or often times coworkers will pool their cash to buy something. If you have multiple bosses, I would bake cookies or put together tins of party mix or something homemade.

Proper etiquette dictates that you do not purchase gifts for your boss. Your boss shoul buy each of his direct reports gifts though.

I think your first year you're off the hook if you'd like. Next year a little something would be fine. I'm a big fan of giving fresh baked cookies.

Good Luck

whilst i replaced right into a newborn, I have been given my aunt a pleasing sweater. regrettably, i offered it too small! of direction, it relatively is style of flattering, i think. She basically laughed approximately me thinking she replaced right into a length small. i presumed she replaced into distinctly small, easily. She never mentioned, yet i'm hoping she took it back and have been given the main suitable length.
