Does anyone have information on corporate debt forgiveness provisions in Malaysia?

I have 2 entities, Parent in Singapore and subsidiary in Malaysia.
the hong kong entity owes the parent SGD800,000. If the Singapore parent forgives the debt, will the gain be taxable in Malaysia?
