what to do if you have many tattoos are amasmed and worried you might get killed cause it is not accecpted in your culture for ladies to have tattoos? the summer is coming! i fear for my life and repuation!!!!

Its above my ankle, i got alot of info from the tattoo place but they didnt mention whether or not to shave, i'm assuming just wait until its completly healed but i just thought i'd ask. Its at the flaking point now....

I'd have to say most of the best "good guys" have been modified themselves, with piercings and tats and a couple have had some wierder things going on, and the only "good guy" I've ever known that didn't like my big earlobes didn't like them because they were bigger than his.

So someone explain to me why it's so trashy to be tattooed or otherise modified. i really don't get it, though I aknowledge there are some stupid tattoos out there. What is wrong with a tastefully chosen and well placed tattoo on either sex? Isn't confidence more attractive than the fear of breaking society's mold?

I know I've asked five million questions re: this upcoming tattoo but it's my first one and I want to make sure that I follow "tattoo etiquette"....my tattoo is costing $700....would this be a good tip? Artist is Chinese and so am i so i was going to give $88 (8 is good luck in Chinese) in a Chinese red envelope....is that an adequate tip or too much or - thoughts? I figure that $88 isn't too much since the ink and design are portrait work and customized and such. Thoughts?

I am planning on getting a butterfly tattoo on my lower back. I want the tattoo because of the meaning of a butterfly. It signifes change and i have gone through many changes this past year in the life. Both my grandparents were diagnosed with cancer, my aunt passed away and i have started University. There have been many other changes but i just though i would list the major ones. Neways I was wondering if anyone knew where i could find free stencils for butterfly's. I searched tattoojohnny.com but you have to pay for it. I just thought i would look around before i checked out at different tattoo parlours. If anyone knows any sites or where to find designs it would be much appricated. Thanks in advance

Hello, this is a curiousity of mine because I have heard it said before and I wanted to get it clarified. I got my first tattoo about 8 months ago and the black on the ink has already patched and the tattoo just doesnt look great. A few times I meant to get it touched up but it never worked out time wise for me or the artist. I know most tattoo artists have a guarantee on their tattoos but if he messed it up once why would I want him to make it worse. I do not want to cover it up because it is symbollic. I was tempted to ask my new tattoo artist of he could work on it but I heard that is a major "no no" in the tattoo community and artists do not like to mess with each others work. Some get mad just for you asking them. I sort of know the guy but I still don't feel right asking. What is the reason that tattoo artists do not like to go other somebodys "so so" work?

me and some freinds are going to go out and get matching tattoos....the only problem is that one of the girls has stretch marks on her sides from having her baby....we all want to get 3 stars....on the outside will be two stars that are about 3 inches long and the big star in the middle are going to be about 5 inches..we were wondering if she will be able to still get the tattoo even though she has stretchmarks....will the tattoo cover them or will you still be able to see them....and also...we want to get the tattoos in black..but is there a diffrent color or a design we can put in the stars to hide her stretch marks better?

Why does everyone assume that once you get a visable tattoo you will never get hired. I have a great government job and I have tattoos and my hubby can go anywhere and get a job. (Trust me he's done it) And he has a visable tattoo on his wrist. You can get great jobs with tattoos or not. So why do people without tattoo assume you can't? How do you people think we get money and afford our tattoos?

i have my nipples pierced and last night i decided to take my rings out over night to let them soak.... its the first time i have left them out for so long and now im having trouble getting them to go back in... it really hurts and it feels like in the centre of my nipple its closing up already.... can this happen so soon? can i keep trying to painfully push the rings back through?
