the same tattoo...i had the outline done and i payed for the entire tattoo and i gave him a tip should i tip him again when i go to get it finished?

Yep.
However, if you need to go back for touch ups then you don't need to tip him as they should be free.

You should really tip after it is done.I would say you can tip again if you really want to,and if he does a really awesome job.Just make it a smaller tip.Im sure he will remember the first tip and understand if you do tip him again.Next time if you have to have more than one session,wait until the last one and it is finished,I understand how you feel tho,somone really needs to write some guidelines on tipping your tattoo artist!Good luck!

Well if its a continuation of the same tattoo.. you've already paid. And when you paid the first time, it was for the whole service, why tip again? And will he take you to the register again anyway? SAVE YOUR MONEEEEEY and get like a piercing to go with your new tatoo! =)

Yes, it seems he cares about his work since he didn't try to rush you tattoo, if he takes his time and does a good job, tip him.

If I were you I would have tipped him all at the end. But I would just because it would look kinda corny and not well. Just dont tip him nearly as much. Maybe...5%?
