Tattoos - January 2007

If not, how can I make myself one?
I understand it's very dangerous, and I could get a disease, but I just want to know. I want a very small tattoo on my left wrist. And, yes, I understand that this is basically a life time thing, No mean answers.

I was under the assumption that this was a place where people could ask honest-to-god questions about tattoos and body modification and be confident that someone reading would either A)have a similar experience and outcome to share OR B) be knowledgable in the area of body mods and be able to help.

Why then, do I constantly see an honest question, followed by "I think tattoos are disgusting and gross and you are a loser and you will be damned and unhappy and a flesh eating virus will overtake your body you disgusting piece of crap!"??

I am very upset by these people, why would they even look in the tattoo section? I use this site to try and help people with piercing problems, since I have many and I have been piercing professionally for over 7 years. I also have EXTENSIVE tattoo work done, and I currently work in a tattoo shop, so I think that an honest to god question that someone feels more comfortable asking here rather in a tattoo shop deserves some respect. Don't you??

not that it really matters. but for my third tattoo. i'm was thinking of getting the ancient hawaiian proverb... kulia i ka nu'u on my wrist in white ink. Now i'm going to put it on the wrist coresponding to the creative side of my brain...which i believe is the left? but anyways. kulia i ka nu'u means to strive for the summit...like to reach goals in life....to get what i want.

TY all for your answers on my TinkerBell tattoo question, I am definately going to get it. For my third tattoo, i'm going to get a word in hawaiian on my wrist or foot. In white ink. The reason for hawaiian, is in tribute to my families past. We call ourselves war native hawaiians, and we cherish and love hawaiian culture. My grandma and mother both are known as Tutu to the grandkids, and we have hawaiian art and influences all around our house. I was going to get something to remind me always of something. either a phrase or words saying to always go towards my goals, to never give up on then, just reach for that star...anything around that..... OR something simple like aloha. or forever aloha. or something with aloha in it....i dont know let me know if u have any suggestions
