Tattoos are all about expression, so it really depends on your taste. Your best bet would be to go into a good tattoo shop and talk to one of the artists there. You can look through their magazines & design books or bounce ideas back and forth with an artist, who will be more than happy to draw something up for you.

Preparation H lightens and tightens the skin. Bacitracin and gauze is what I always have used with no problems and fast healing. You can keep it covered for three days...that doesn't matter UNLESS IT'S INFECTED; but, why would you want to? It'll slow the healing process and the only benefit is that the tattoo will heal smoother and scab less. Scabbing, when it falls off, can remove some coloring granted. If it's infected, though, you shouldn't keep it covered up because it'll just get worse (heat is a catalyst for bacteria growth). You'll know it's infected because it's sensitive, red and looks ... well, inflamed. The previous chick is right... you should've taken the covering off after just about three to five hours or so and let it breathe. A) Go to the doctor about it hurting if it's ABNORMALLY hurting (it's not uncommon for it to be sore if it's over a sensitive area, which the wrist is, or the tattoo artist really digs in deep for good coloring); and B) Preparation H? Common sense dude...that's for hemorrhoids not tats - use bacitracin, triple antibiotic or neosporin ointment instead.

Getting your own name seems really cheesy. I'm sorry, my point is not to offend, but there's so much to get on your body and you want...Your own name?
I would suggest going to see an artist (a good artist). They'll have lots of their own and other peoples designs (flash) as good references to start a tattoo.
Also, if you're planning on having a child anytime in the near future, I wouldn't get a tattoo on your stomach. It'll stretch it out and leave it a mess when your body bounces back after the birth.

I personally do not think your ready for a tattoo if you are asking ppl on Y!................but go to an artist and they can help you....Tattoos stay with you the rest of your life so make sure you are going to want to keep it the rest of your life and i wouldnt get it on your stomache......it willl stretch out and you wont like it any more good places for them are lower back and back, and arms (not the under side of your arm, that can be painful..............ankles or any where directly on the bone are painful. usually unless you are good at coping with pain..........) but you are not limited just make sure its a place where it wont stretch......not to offend you in any way.............keep good care of it.........wash it every day until it heals and use a mild sope.......like anti bactierial dial soap......and water and keep it out of the sun and every once in a while put a thin layer of......ink fix or tattoo goo and if you cant get any of that brand stuff.....get A & D ointment.......Hope this helps!
