I was under the assumption that this was a place where people could ask honest-to-god questions about tattoos and body modification and be confident that someone reading would either A)have a similar experience and outcome to share OR B) be knowledgable in the area of body mods and be able to help.
Why then, do I constantly see an honest question, followed by "I think tattoos are disgusting and gross and you are a loser and you will be damned and unhappy and a flesh eating virus will overtake your body you disgusting piece of crap!"??
I am very upset by these people, why would they even look in the tattoo section? I use this site to try and help people with piercing problems, since I have many and I have been piercing professionally for over 7 years. I also have EXTENSIVE tattoo work done, and I currently work in a tattoo shop, so I think that an honest to god question that someone feels more comfortable asking here rather in a tattoo shop deserves some respect. Don't you??

Because these people are close minded losers that have nothing better to do than try to push their beliefs on other people. I asked a question about a tat and a girl sent me a 4 page lecture on how permanent they are. (Yea I figured that out with my first one) She obviosuly has no experience with tattoos so I don't know what she was doing on here. I wouldn't go to the teenie booper N'sync page a post opinions so why are they coming on here

I figure that you're going to have closed minded people and such with any topic discussed in person or on a computer. Quite often, it seems that people like to say things or state opinions that they would not give in real life because you have the protection of net, hence you can spout comments and people have no idea who you truly are...
I asked quite a few questions re: an upcoming tattoo and got quite a few of the "comments" that people made....but I also got some awesome feedback from ink artists and it helped answer some questions that I had or gave me references to other sites where I could look up information.
I think that it's also dumb that people have that little to talk/think about that they deliberately go into topics just to make comments that have nothing to do with the question and weren't solicited.

Whoa whoa whoa wait a minute, I think you are forgetting about a little thing called freedom of speech. You have every right to have as many tattoos as you want and they have every right to offer their opinion about it.
It sucks when people are overly aggressive and rude but that happens on every string on YA!, and probably happens in every public forum everywhere. It would be nice if people were more polite, everyone deserves respect, but this is a public forum.
By the way the purpose of this forum IS to ask questions about tattoos so go ahead and use your freedom to ask and answer and allow others to use theirs.

i hate peopel liek that.. liek the other day. someone asked abotu nipple piercings and practically every response was "eww thats gross, why would you want that! you arent going to show them off, its just a waste of money" people just dont understand.. everyone just seems so opinionated...
thanks for answering my question though =) i appriciate it. i think im going to buy one of thoe U shaped travel pillows instead of using my hand everynight. lol im gettign my first cartilag epiercing redone. and its on the side i sleep on! so i definately need one of those pillos ;-) lol thank you.
