My friend is getting a rectangle tattoo (very crude sketch here, but the corners have the spade/club/heart/diamond in them)

(if it doesnt come up, right click and 'show pic'

It's about 3 inches tall and 2.5 wide, any good placement ideas for a rectangle and for a woman?

She already has tattoos and a person in the tattoo community doesnt want to hear from someone without a tattoo about 'just don't do it, it will sag', we're aware of the sagging, it comes with age, skin sags, and if a tat is covered, its not like a 70 year old lady is gunna have a huge sagguing tat on her body thats noticable, its covered, so please stop with the warnings, she's alreayd got 3

I think between the shoulder blades would be best as it isn't an organic shape that flows well with the body so it needs to be centered. It might also lookk good right next to the hip bone below the belt line. Pretty much anywhere it can be placed next to a straight bone so it looks centered.

And to Virginia G, old and saggy is old and saggy, regardless of whether it is tattooed or not.

Personally, I think that kind of "blocky" tatto isn't all that feminine, but if altered slightly *i dunno, fade the edges in a way that it still has the integrity of the original, but has a slightly more girly feel* it could look nice anywhere. Then again, you're getting an answer from a chick that thinks it'd be a great idea to tattoo something on my upper ear, or much out a 0ga chunk of cartilage because there's too much empty space on my ear. I like the area right behind the ear, too. It screams "PAINT ME" to me.

But, going with the original shape and design, I'd say a flat area for this tat. Lower back or shin/calf area. Way I see it, figure out where you want it then design the tat to fit. It's much easier to change a drawing than to change your body, y'know?

Mine is about 2.5" square, located on my chest just below my collarbone, pretty much centered between my arm and my throat. It's small enough that it doesn't hit the "sag zone" of my breasts, is easily covered by clothing, but easily shown/shown off if I want, and is in a place that *I* can see it without doing contortions.

I would think the shoulder blade would be the best spot because it doesn't sag a whole lot and it's easy to cover up for work.

Shoulder blade or ankle. I have 4 one on each shoulder blade and one on each ankle and I can cover them up if I want or show them off if I want.

My opinion, just don't do it. When they get old a tattoo looks like crap on an older person, they tend to sag.
