I dunno, usually not.. But I had a good friend in college who had both of hers done and they didn't look bad on her.. She was that kind of girl.. also had her legs done =p. Really its a definition of you... so if you want it you get... don't do it so it will look cool to others.. you have to live with it and they don't =P

Go with your own style. Form your own opinions. That said:
I am sooo sick of hearing people say "just think how you and your tattoo's will look when your 65". When you're older you're going to be sagging and wrinkly anyhow - why live your life by what you might regret in the future? The time that counts is now.
I know chicks that have sleeves and I think they look fine. It's the content of the tattoo's, not the sex of the person getting them that matters. Besides, the whole Bettie Page thing is hot right now. Live it up.
Also, you said you are opening your own skate shop. Kudos. You have a lifestyle that permits you to do what you wish to your body without fear of not getting employment or being ridiculed constantly - go for it!
I work in education, and it means I can't have many visible tattoos, which sucks. Also, I have friends that have gotten married and they didn't hide their tattoo's, they rocked 'em! It's part of who you are! Hope any of this helps.
Good Luck on the sleeves!

Hell yeah!! Sleeves are awesome on chicks (I love mine, and I am a mom, and am engaged to get married). I have found that with all of my tattoos and piercings, if someone does not accept me for who I am with my artwork and piercings, then they are not worth my time, because why would I want to be friends with or date someone who is close-minded? I work as a professional piercer, but my full time job is in an office environment, and neither one of my employers can say anything, as long as I look acceptable (well, at least for the office job, the shop doesn't really count). Especially if you are opening up a skate shop, tattoos and body modifications are a HUGE part of that culture, so I really see no problem with it. If you want to be sleeved, and that is what you truly want, then go for it, and who gives a crap what anyone else thinks about it. It is your body!!
Good luck!!

If youre sure you'll still be commited to it in 40 years or so..and if you're sure you'll always have a stable income, despite your tattoos....I'd say go for it. Sleeves are hot. And bettie page is great!
Also- for the people who say they'll look stupid when we get old, youre probably right...but by the time we're old, 90% of the population will have tattoos...so it'll be the people without them that are looking stupid :P just a thought...do with it what you will.

I think it's cute, I like the juxtaposition of a girly girl with a sleeve, and I love traditional tattoos. Besides, the men you are likely to like will just love it! =0)

i think sleeves look great on a girl. i like 3/4 sleeves better than full 1/2 or 1/4 but whatever floats your boat.

I think the whole rockabilly look is awesome. Sleeves will NOT look ugly. Do what you feel like & don't let people talk sh*t! Good Luck!

I used to HATE sleeves on females! BUT, I was leaving Lenox Mall *here in Atlanta!! =)* and saw like a rocker chick with a right sleeve! I mean AWESOME!! It was the cutest thing ever! Just make sure you go to a great person who pays close attention to detail! And get some colors! Also, don't just throw miscellaneous things on your arm, make sure it goes together and tells a story!

My opinion only but I do not think a sleeve would look good on a girl. I don;t like tattoos on a girls arm period. But like I said, my opinion. If you want it, it is your choice. You are the one who has to live with it everyday. Good luck

I think the right type and location of a tattoo on a female is sexy - but not sleeves, no way. I have a tattoo, so I am not against them.
