Sorry not a guy but I have four tattoos. Never get a tattoo that you would regret when you are 60. Also make sure that you get a tat for the right reason. Whether or not a guy thinks it is attractive is not a good reason. If you do decide to get a tat make sure you go to a good salon. One that is clean. It is harder to cover a tat up than to get one in the first place. I got a cross on my ankle and it was sloppy work I had to live with it for 3 years before I found an artist that could cover it up and make it look right. I still have a cross on that ankle but it is not my original design

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and the only truly important beholder in your life is you. Go with your heart on this one, and don't let anyone tell you it's tacky or trashy, because it's a matter of opinion.
Personally, I love well placed well done tats on guys and girls. It's weird, though, I tend to find it sexier on girls than guys*i'm straight*, but that may just be because we have better taste.... I have seen some retard tats that guys and girls have had done, so as a word of warning, no matter how "cool" you think it is, dotted line with the words "cut here" down your wrist will not be appreciated by your kids in the same way you friends like it. Same goes for other stuff.
Go tasteful, and prove all the "tats are trashy" idiots wrong.

hi, I am a girl with 5 tat's. I think they can either be very tacky or attractive, it all depends on where the tat is and of what. If you want to know what it will look like b4 you get it why don't you go to a tat shop have them put your design on the stencil paper and have them stencil you. I don't know if they would charge for that, and I don't know how long the image will last but at least for a little while you will have a good idea of what the tat might look like on and if you will like it
good luck

if you're interested in getting a tattoo to turn on men... DO NOT do it.
tattoos should be something very personal and something you can wear with pride... no matter what your age. if you're thinking of a tattoo don't be an idiot and get tinker bell or something. Those are tacky and unattractive. But if you get a simple tattoo with some sort of meaning (for your children, an important period in your life, etc etc) and its in a place you can live with and if you desire, are able to cover up, then i don't think it should be a problem.
tattoos are for YOU and about YOU. not your significant other...

Don't; it's permanent and if it's a turn off to a guy you are interested in, it is very difficult and expensive to get it removed. Also, some people won't hire people with visible tattoos and you may never know the reason you didn't get the job.
Personally, I don't like tattoos on women however, unfortunately most women dress to the approval of other women instead of the approval of men. In this sense, you are to be commended for considering a male point of view in this important fashion decision.
Good luck and stay "unmarked".

My neice has several of them. She did them a few years ago when she was feeling like a little rebel. Now she works in an architectural firm, and has a hard time covering them up. So when people see them, they are more of an embarrassment than anything. I say, if God wanted you to have a tattoo, you'd have been born with a birthmark that says "I (HEART) MOM" on your keester!! The fact that you are already asking this question, leads me to believe it is a bad idea for you. I think it's a bad idea for anybody. If you want to try it though, you can always get yourself a temporary tattoo (drawn on your skin in ink) and try it out for a few days. See if you are comfortable with it and how people react. That should be a good indication.

I'm not a guy, but.... If it's something YOU want to do, that's what counts. Guys come and they go, your tattoo is forever. Try a little one low on the hip, live with that before you make a bigger commitment. It's what I did, then a big one on my lower back. I love it!
Good luck!

if you're not sure about getting a tattoo then you shouldn't get one. also you shouldn't get one because you think guys will like it. the only person you should ever get a tattoo for is yourself. i have tattoos, have had them for 8 years and i never got them for anybody but me. when i met my husband he didn't have any tattoos but he never judged me for my tattoos, and now he has two. good luck with whatever you decide but make sure you decide for yourself.

I think that you should only get it if it's going to be meaningful enough to you where you are willing to wear it for the rest of your life. If you are asking whether to get it or not on YA, that tells me that you are not necessarily ready to get one, mentally....I would really sit on the idea for a couple of months, think of the pros and cons, placement and if it's something that you think that you're going to like when you're older. This just prevents you from potentially getting one and then regretting it several months or years later.
