My dad said I could get a tattoo and I'm 16. He also said he would sign any papers needed to get it. Most places I've tried have said no even with parental permission. SOMEONE HELP!!!

I have been going through a lot of life altering change this year and thinking of getting a new tattoo to represent "my rebirth" as I have to redefine myself

I want something like the pheonix rising from the ashes but also want all the things holding me back from reaching this point remembered, and was thinking of having a pheonix rising that was being held down by chains but it still managed to break free.

I'm not the best at tattoo imagery/symbology...my first tattoo was done on a whim, but I want my second one to be meaningful. Any insight on an image would be helpful, thanks!

im getting my tattoo in 4 days i was wondering if anyone who has a tattoo goes tanning in a tanning bed and what the effects are with a tatoo like it fades or something, I have been tanning 6 times in the past 3 weeks so im darkwhen i get my tattoo,but i wanna go tanning again a week or so after i get my tattoo will that be ok?

Okay, so I had a tattoo that I got when I was about 15, but now I don't want it. I heard you could use some kind of lotion and it would go away within 10 or more weeks or something but it's pretty expensive. Does anybody know any way to get rid of a tattoo without laser surgery and cheap [possibly]? Does anybody know where I could get it or anything? I'm stuck and have no idea what to do. I'm getting a tat w/o parental permission. So, obviously, I'll need to hide it. I'm getting ti between my shoulder blades, which is supposed to be very sensitive--all bone, little tissue, etc.

What sort of precautions should I be ready for? (Like, if it'll be so painful I won't be able to act like it's not there as it heals, etc.)


And, from those who have gotten one, just about how painful it is as you're getting it.

How many people without tattoos, and who are against them, have a piercing, even if it's something as simple as an ear piercing?
The reason that i ask is because, i myself, have two tattoos, which you wouldn't even know just by looking at me, because they are hidden underneath clothing on a daily basis, and the only person who knows that they are there is my fiance.
A lot of people say that tattoos make a woman look trasy, but half of the time, that "conservative boss" that you think won't hire people with tattoos, has one smack dab on her ***.

Another point that people tend to make about tattoos is that it goes against what the bible says.
While at the same time, the woman who preaches about going to hell because you've got a tattoo, is the same woman who just got her 2 month old daughter's ears pierced because "it just looks so cute!"
But piercing, as i am aware, also goes against what the bible says.

Even though society has accepted ear piercings.......

I have a writing h.w in my english class...
The direction : in a multi paragraph essay complete the following prompt: Some of friends have decided to get tattoo and gave asked you to "be part of the group" and get a tattoo,too. You and your friend have not yet decided to go along. Decide how you feel about getting a tattoo. I want to get a pair of shooting stars. They will look like this: four stars, the smallest one on the bottom and they get larger up to the 4th star. Their size will increase and their shape will bend into a curve. I haven't picked colors or anything, i might just get it bold, black and skin tone =)

I have no idea where on my body I should put the pair. I want the tattoo to only be seen when wearing a bikini. NOT on my shoulders and NOT on my lower back - no tramp stamps here!! Any other suggestions? Thanks pros ;)

Ok I got my belly button pierced this past July in Hawaii. Ive tried antibacterial soap, salt water, alcohol, peroxide, neosporin, even changed to plastic belly rings and it STILL hasnt healed!! I REALLY dont wana have to take it out so if someone could please please help me with any tips on how to heal it i would appreciate it SO much!!!!

I have had my nose pierced 1 year this month and sometimes its fine, but other days it hurts like a son. When I go about to change my nose ring it feels like my skin is ripping apart around my nose and then my nose starts to bleed. I had problems at the tattoo shop when they pierced it. They did have to do it two times and fight with the ring for about a half hour. But they told me that it should be healed by now. So does anyone know what is going on with it? Should I just keep putting meds. on it? or Take it out for good?

My ex-girlfriend gave our child up for adoption in a different country without my consent.(she was 8 mths pregnant when she left, so I never got the chance to even see her born) I am constantly thinking about this child of mine somewhere out there and have thought about getting a tattoo to memorialize my daughter. I have gotten some info on my child including name and birth date. I know the child was mine, I know she never cheated on me-so don't hit me with those comments. My question is- would it be a dumb idea to get a tattoo to... kind of symbolize this loss- a reminder I guess??
