Tattoos - January 2007

Im thinking of getting an Asian inspired tattoo I love the graphic in which items are drawn. Im thinking birds, trees, just a thought.

About 5 months ago, I got my first tattoo and absolutely love it. I designed something myself and had wanted one since I was a little girl. I used to draw it on with black sharpie and wear it everywhere even when I was really young!

I chose my lower back because I find that a center of balance for myself and it felt like the right spot to place this. Ever since I got the ink, so many people have been telling me how trashy lower back tattoos are are how I'm going to regret it, etc. I really love what I have and am proud of it but it feels crappy after a while to be told these things over and over. I want to say something back to those people, but what?

ive had my navel peirced 3 times and it has rejected every time. so i have quite a bad scar. when i was younger my skin used to take bad reactions to injections like at school and doctors.
i really would like a tattoo but im scared to get one incase my skin takes a bad reaction to it.
iIm not sure what type of reactions can take place with tattoo's. ive never seen one go wrong.
but any help wud be great

I Live in SoCal and I'm interested in getting a tattoo. Does anybody know of any really good artists in the Los Angeles/ Hollywood area? Or anywhere in southern california? Price is not really an object, so long as it is quality work.

wen i peirced ma navel, the middle of the bar was fully covered with skin, its been 6 months now and there is a bit of the bar showin at the top, theres still a lot of skin in between....jus not as much. its not infected or any thing, i jus wanna kno if its normal

I want to get angel wings, huge ones, that cover my whole back, regardless of what others think. I have wanted this tattoo for several years. I know I will have to travel as all the artist around my home town are to armature, they think they're great, but they ain't! Also, does anyone now of anybody that may what to do it for free? Ok im getting my tattoo in 5 days when i turn 18, i made the design, and picked the colors i decided i really want this.Im getting it on my lower back and the star will be right above my butt but when i have on pants it will be hidden and im getting clusters of stars on the side that wing out like angel wings & it goes out to my side but not past that but goes above my pants & i was wondering how much it will hurt for people that have a tattoo on their lower back. I know pain can feel different to people but i take it pretty well i have my monroe,industrial,tragus,belly button,cartilage,& 6 lobe piercings. What did you feel through the whole time you were getting tattooed?Did you cry or have any tears?Im more anxious about my tattoo after i get it finished i can't wait to see how it looks!please give me any helpful information you have about your tattoo, what you did for the healing process, how much it hurt, what you got for your tattoo.thank you so much im so excited

My third and next planned tattoo will be that of my daughters name. I want to get her name tattooed on the inside of my wrist. When I look down at my wrist, I want to be able to see her name and smile. But my question is that should I have her name written so that I can see it, or should it be written as to where other people can read it? If I get it tattooed as to where other people can read it, it will look upside down to me. So which way is appropriate? Tattooed so I can read it, or tattooed so other people can read it?

It is very small (maybe 15cm2) and on my shoulder blade, I had my friend do it when I was 13 with a homemade tattoo gun (motor on a fork!)with blue ink

Looking for a tattoo i seen on the show about 2mnths ago.

Gonna get a cover up just like it and i cant find it anywhere!! Even on their site.

Its on a girls foot. Infact it was on two Lady-lovers feet. It was some stars ranging from small to large. So stunning.

If anyone has seen it post a link.

i know its with a needle, but do the put all the needles in simaltaneously or is it one by one. how do they get the colour of the tattoo. i will be getting one, but i am so scared. i'm geting one on my arm, so how painful do u think it will be on a scale of 1 to 10.
is there anything which can be done so that i dont feel as much pain, such as numb cream. i've got my ear pierced a few yrs ago and that didn't hurt one bit

How come people with No tattoos or people that Hate tattoos post in the tattoo section? I read so many people's answers like "I hate tattoos" or "I would never get a tattoo"...so my question is, why are you posting in this section..Im not trying to be a jerk, its just weird to me.

I plan to get a name tattooed about my person. Where wouldst thou recommend I get it inked? It shall just be a 5 letter name, written in an Edwardian script style calligraphics. It shall probably appear as though I have doodled on mineself. Suggestions? Btw, don't say "lower back" as that has been done to extinction...

I got my second tattoo couple of days ago. Though the tattoo is healing just fine, theres a bunch of nasty red boils (like a rash) all around my tattoo. Everytime my shirt brushes against these boils, they start to bleed. I probably need to go to the doc but is this something I should have sleepless nights about?? Could this be an infection?

I am thinking about getting another tattoo,and do not know what to get or where to get it!! I already have a swallow on my left shoulder, a flying heart on my left hip, and a cherry blossom with leaves and vine on the bottom of my back. I am thinking about either getting more cherry blossoms going up my back, or something on the inside of my wrist. I think im a bit scared about more on my back because the pain last time was awful whereas none of my other tats ever really hurt! Please help my decide by hearing what you have all got!!
