I want to get angel wings, huge ones, that cover my whole back, regardless of what others think. I have wanted this tattoo for several years. I know I will have to travel as all the artist around my home town are to armature, they think they're great, but they ain't! Also, does anyone now of anybody that may what to do it for free? You know to have it photoed and possiably published? Thanks~ Crystal

Ok, I think everybody is getting the wrong idea here, I NEVER said I was not willing to pay for this tattoo, I'm not that stupid! I was only curious as I have heard of people doing this befor and I didn't know how they got in touch with artist. Goodness.

there are tons of great artists. you should check on ratemyink.com actually saw a great full back angel wing tattoo not too long ago on there... i'll try to find the link.
as far as getting the tattoo done for free for publishing purposes... no talented artist is going to do that. most people are excited about the opportunity to have their tattoos photographed and published and will gladly pay their artist for it. i have a lot of friends who have had their tattoos in tattoo magazines.

my artist is www.daweitattoo.com He specializes in portraits though - so you may wan to look into artists that specialize in what you're looking to do moreso.
Most likely you will not find an artist that will do it for free to get it published and such. No good artist I know of would do that. Regardless of whether you're willing to pay for the tattoo or not. Also, if they are good enough to be published....they probably already have been...many times.

I seriously doubt you will find someone to do this for free.
It sounds as if this tattoo will take a lot of time and it would be unfair for you to ask an artist to do this free of charge.
I don't know what part of the country you live in, but there is a great studio in Houston, Texas....Scorpion Studio Tattoos.

IF YOU WANT TO BE ON A YEAR WAITING LIST TO GET TATTOOED BY ANYONE AT MIAMI INK....then go for it.
But Kat Vond Tattoos at a shop in Los Angeles called True Tattoo, so does Chris Garver, but everyone in that shop is very talented.
Theres also a shop called Spotlight Tattoo, and also in LA,GOLDRUSH TATTOO in OC, and a shop in San Fransico called BLACK HEART TATTOO, and a shop in OAKLAND called TEMPLE TATTOO, AND TATTOO 13...those are the best shops in California
also in DALLAS TEXAS THERES A TATTOO SHOP CALLED ELM ST. TATTOO Thats where Kat VOND's husband works and owns
all these shops have a myspace, and website...

i have a lady that does mine. the is at one of the Ink Wizard Tattoo shops in Georgia. she will not do it for free, if you are willing to travel to get a good tattoo, why are you not willing to pay for it?

Have you ever seen the show Miami Ink? Everyone who works there does really good tattoos. If I were going to get one, I'd go there.

You don't need one if you are a girl it is unatactve .If you are a boy the ladies don't like them.
