I have three tattoos - one of vines and flowers on my right arm and a dreamcatcher on my left arm. My latest one is a butterfly which is at the bottom of my neck and out of the three of them, the butterfly hurt the least, in fact I could have fallen asleep getting that one done. It might have had something to do with the tattoo artist - for the butterfly I went to someone different and he did a far better job and I would certainly go to him again.

I have a few tattoos and just got one on the left side of my chest which I thought was going to be much more painfull than it was. I've got to say that personaly I find a good rule to go by is that where you are ticklish it will hurt like buggery. Also I have heard many people say really bony areas hurt too and I have found that to be true myself, but not as much as where the skin is sensitive. Also just because a tatooist is really gentle and does it so it doesn't hurt doesn't mean they're any good. A good tattoo artist will go as hard as he needs to in order to make your tattoo look as good as possible. At the end of the day whats a few hours of pain for a life time of having a kick *** tattoo. Just remember thats what it is though, a life time. I have a golden rule that I follow, think long and hard about what you want and when you have finally dicided on exactly what it is, give yourself a month to think about it. If you still want it real bad then get it. The good thing is this gives you loadsa time to save up the money and do your research to find a good tattoo artist.

I have 15 tattoos, however, I just woke up and I'm too lazy to go into detail about each one of them.
I will say that I have some on my lower back, and a large one between my shoulders... and the one between my shoulders did not hurt nearly as bad as the ones on my lower back.
I'm not saying that will be the same for you, but I think continuing up your back with the cherry blossoms could be a good idea. :)
Also, do not listen to 'atomictom' up there ^ telling you that getting a tattoo on a fatty area hurts less.
The tattoos I have on the right and left sides of my lower back are on the fattier parts of my sides, and they were some of the most painful ones I have.

hey! i am interested in knowing more about the tattoos that you already have. do you have a picture of the cherry blossoms you have on your back? i think it would be completely beautiful and interesting to have a cherry tree with cherry blossoms on it and some flying off of it with like wind blowing some of them. anyway... just my opinion.
here are my tattoos:

i am currently working on getting a full back piece and the pain
really isn't that bad, especially when you work in sections. like do an hour or two at a time. that way you don't have to have all spinal work done at once or whatever. feel free to email me and i'll be glad to help you out with whatever. i love interesting unique tattoos and am great friends with my tattoo artist.

I have 5 in total, a skull on my upper right arm, a native american artstlye eagle on my left bicep, an Aztec demon design on my right calf, a profile of a grey dragons head on my right shoulder and my family crest on my chest. The chest was the most painful, over 4 hours under the needle, with my leg being the next most painful! That one took 3 and 3 quarter hours.
Just try not to think about the pain, because however much it hurts, it'll always be worth in the end! Good luck with whatever you choose!

I have 11 tattoos, to the dismay of my family! Writing on each wrist and two tribal symbols on the inner of my forearms. a butterfly on my rights set of ribs, an orchid on my left shoulder, two koi on my right thigh and a geisha on my left surrounded by cherry blossoms which now fall down my leg and connect to another tattoo on my foot. my daughters name in Japanese style writing at the bottom of my back and a tribal design between my shoulder blades!
I'm planning on few more, but must confess, as much as I love tattoos, don't want to end up with a body suit, and am rapidly running out of canvas! Good luck with yours!

I currently have 3:-
Flaming Sun - on the bottom of my back
Celtic Heart - on my stomach
Fairy - on my right shoulder
Currently thinking about getting another one on my foot, maybe a butterfly.
Try the website below for some more ideas. Hope this helps sometimes looking at too many makes it worse to decide. Why not get something that means something to you? My friend got her daughters name in arabic on the inside of her wrist.

Your tattoos all sound very nice. I have 4 tattoos right now. I have a rose with my hubbys name, sonic the hedgehog with my kids' names, a tiger head, and a playboy bunny. I'm getting another one very soon in memory of my grandparents and a cherub on my shoulder blade.
Have you ever thought of getting something on your shoulder blades? Maybe something that goes along with your cherry blossoms and vines? Just a thought for you.
Hope this helps and happy tattooing! :-)

Foot, both arms, forearms, back, inside lip (mouth) big chest peice, side calves, finger, back of neck...totally 13. The worst pain was the top of my foot, my artist digs a little though, through the process it killed me but it actually healed the fastest out of all my tattoos. I plan on getting a lot more work done. Its all painful, some are just less painfull..its also just a different kind of pain, its tolerable. Good Luck.
