lol...sunscreen is right! Don't go tanning, it causes skin cancer!!! and it increases aging... get more tattoos... less tanning.

You can put sunblock on it. It will still fade sooner than it would if you were not tanning. Unfortunately when you decide to get tattooed you have to give up tanning if you want your tattoos to look good. You might look into that Jergens stuff that tans you gradually. It's cheaper than tanning sessions and much safer. My boss went tanning a few times a week and ended up with skin cancer so I quit going all together. Having things cut out of my body just didn't appeal to me.

A high sunscreen 15 min before tanning, it isnt really needed, the only reason the tattoo appears to fade is b/c your skin is getting darker, if you had started tanning and then got a tattoo it would appear darker, A cloth will leave a HIDEOUS BIG SPOT where you are covering it! I would reccomend sunscreen if you are worried about it, but like I said it reall doesnt make a difference!

nothing will keep the uv rays from breaking down the ink in your tattoo. sunscreen doesn't protect ink. and clothing will help but if you are laying in the sun or in a tanning bed the uv rays are so strong they will penetrate the clothing as well. the best thing for your tattoo and your health is to stay out of the sun.

tanning is a cause of skin cancer, but if you feel you should.a light coat of sun screen only on the tattoo will help protect it from the harmfull UV rays.
