ask the tattoo parlour but I would think that a week after you get your tattoo is not a good idea they say that if you are going in the sun you need to make sure to put sunscreen on your tattoo because it will fade if you are constantly in the sun the sun ruins tattoos tanning beds will ruin tattoos too I have 4 tattoos and I cover mine up when I go tanning which isnt often but still if your getting a tattoo you don't want to risk ruining your tattoo by going tanning...... ask the tattoo parlour!

Tanning ruins tattoos. Over time, tanning will fade the tattoos color and even blur the image.
Best thing to do is minimize exposure and be sure to always have a high SPF lotion on the tattoo. But still, over time, the tattoo will be ruined
If you are getting a new tattoo, you should avoid tanning for at least its healing time (which is 2ish weeks) but its best to avoid tanning for a month.

you should not tan until the tattoo is healed all the way. there is tattoo balm that tanning salons can get for you. another option is to use a lip balm with a high spf like 30. if you do not do this your tattoo will fade.

Use a chapstick or any lip balm with an spf and just color your tattoo as if you were coloring a picture.. you still get tan but the tattoo will not fade. there is also a tattoo goo sold at some tattoo places.

you should be fine to go tanning after you get it. i work at a tanning salon and a girl i work with just recently got a tattoo and she goes tanning. the make an spf face stick for tanning. its like those big sunblock sticks. i have heard some clients say those work great for tattos. i do think that mayb your first few times tanning if you cover it with a bandaid this will help..for like when it is scabby and all.

You're not allowed to expose your tattoo to sun/tanning that soon after getting it.. that's what my tattoo artist told me. Wait 3 weeks. Also definitely ask the tattoo artist abou things like that when you get yours.

It will draw some color out of the tatoo. I think you should wait until the tattoo totally heals before tanning.

I have tats and I used to tan. I would cover exaclty the spot of the tat with a sticker (if its small) or a piece of fabric. It WILL fade if u don't cover it....even after it's healed
