There is no legitimate proof of TCA (active ingredient of tattoo removal creams) working. The websites I found look underdeveloped, but some include prices...
Inkbusters.com - $55.95 (1 oz. bottle)
Tat B Gone - $199 4 mo. supply
TattooOff - $149 3 mo. supply
Wrecking Balm.com - $150 one "system"?
one Yahoo Answerer said "Tiger balm does do some fading."
and these testimonials...

Good Luck!
I just got off the phone with my wife's boss, a dermatologist, and he doubts the credibility of creams. You can however, cut around the tattoo the size of a quarter then stitch it back together and repeat until the tattoo has shrunk down then removed completely. I assume it's cheaper than laser.

I think your only options are laser removal or getting the tattoo covered up by another tattoo you like.

You know- they meant it when they said "its permanent". You can only get rid of a tattoo is by burning the skin SEVERELY or cutting it out. If your husband is happy for you to sustain extreme scarring and third degree burns to go along with his wishes for your body, then fine. Lazer surgery is just that- but safer and not third degree. If he is that desperate for the surgery, have him give up something dear and expensive, to pay for them (its multiple surgeries, not just one). He has to make a sacrafice if you have to. Otherwise you're just letting him have his way, and wives shouldn't just give in to their husbands in such an archaic way. Husbands DON'T have the final say. Its your body, you decide. If it were me, I wouldn't give in. You still like the tattoo- its YOUR body (none of this "my body is shared between us" crap. Thats bedroom business. You still have a right to decorate yourself as you wish).

nopes....the only way to completely get rid of it is through laser surgery. You will have a large scar from it though.

the results of topical creams and chemicals are iffy. i'm not even sure if they truly work. i'm sorry that you got a tattoo that you no longer like. you could always get it covered with a better tattoo. good luck in whatever you find.

The only safe way i know of is with laser surgery done by a proffesional doctor. I know that you can get make up to cover it up. Stage/costume shops may well sell it....
