i'm adding to the one i already have, and i'll be visiting for a few months. i want to get it while i'm in london.

I'm getting my first tattoo tomorrow and I'm extremely nervous! Can anyone share their first tattoo experience with me? Suggestions on how to relax are appreciated! Also, are you allowed to take a pain reliever before you get a tattoo? If so, what would you recommend?

I just got my first tattoo yesterday for my 18th birthday, it has lillies on it going up my side then one goes onto my stomach a little bit below my bra strap and then to go on my back and i have a few buds that go up onto my shoulder, i just got the outline and it stands out a lot and i love it. It's pretty sore today which i know is normal I was just wondering when the soreness will start to go away?What do you have for a tattoo?How long was yours sore for? How much did yours cost? How long did it take you to finish the design?thank you very much in advance

i no this may sound silly, but i just want other peoples opion on this. i am 24 years old and a mother of 2, and 3 step children. my ? is alot of people have said to me u r a mother, u r not suppose to look like that. i love tattoos and piercings, and yes i have alot, and some people critisize what i do and the way i look and dress. but i am happy with the way i look and i am a great mother. do u think it matters how u look and what u do to your own body when u r a parent?

I know if your underage you can get a parent to sign for u to get it ,but I need to know the age that u can get it without parental consent.

i believe that humans are beautiful in every stage of life. i think it is a betrayal and an injustice to yourself and all of humanity to say that the body becomes ugly as it ages.

i am posting this here, because so many people use aging as a reason to not get a tattoo..... well i just don't agree. i believe the artwork AND THE PERSON will be just as beautiful the day they get the tattoo as they are the day they die.

any contradictions?

I work for Raven Tattoo Care, a tattoo aftercare product, and only hear one side of the story, people who have made tattooing their life! Big tattoos on the calves, on the shoulder, the low back - do you think they are pretty and make a girl/woman look more attractive or not? You can guess where I stand on the issue, but I am curious what the general population thinks - does this make you look differently at the person, as if they are lower class/trashy - or do you see it as something beautiful, a work of art, an expression of who the person is? Just interested in opinions.

But I have no idea where to put them. I want to get an outline of a heart maybe put that one just below my pants line (not on my hip below it) and then i want to get two feet like the footprints on the sand and a puzzle piece. Does anyone know where i should get the feet and puzzle piece?? I don't really want them to be too visible.

me and my friend are going for a concert, and we wanted to draw the logo of the band on our arms. but we dont know what to use to make it water proof(SWEAT!) for at least one night. can we use permanent marker to draw on our skin. its just one time, and ive had tons of accidental times when black markers swiped against my hands and i dont exactly have cancer do i? so, is it ok to use it for one night? just for funs!

I got my belly button pierced two years ago. I left the hoop ring in there the whole time... well i always had problems with it getting infected over and over again... i dont think it ever healed. so about a month ago i took it out... then a few friends told me that i shoud just get the barbel type ring because the hoops seem to never work right in there... and they thought the barbel would work for me. I really liked it being pierced, so i bought a barbel and stuck it in, it had closed up so i had to push it through and break the skin.It bled of course and two days later its still red and swollen, also look like there is a bubble next to the hole... maybe its jus the skin that i pushed through.. anyways.. has anyone ever did this before? and do you think that it will heal and be ok? i would like to keep it..i know some pregnant women that have put theres back in and it was fine... Advice please..

i have 3 carilage piercings already (helix piercings) but im so nervous!

how do you calm yourself down? a few of my other friends are coming and gettgin piercings as well..

im very nervous abotu the pain though! but i know its only tempoary

I've had a tattoo for three weeks and the red appears to be faded to a pinky-red colour. It's still slightly scaley - does this mean I need a touch up? How much longer until it's healed? I followed the after care directions exactly.
