In regards to what the last person said towards barbells...they couldnt be more wrong!
barbells are better than the navel rings because they wont move around as much...and well with barbells your piercing should heal faster as opposed to the ring.
the main thing you did wrong was forcing the jewelry back in, and another thing was forcing jewelry that you probably didnt have sterilized (i'm assuming since you didnt mention it) that leaves you at a high risk of it gettin infected.
the bubble is most likely a keyloid...what i would suggest now since you repierced your navel on ur own is to try to either let it heal or take it out and let it heal and go to a professional and let them repierce it the proper way.
if you leave it in, what helps the keyloid go down in size are a few things,
1. what is considered to be the most efficient way, is if you are NOT allergic to aspirin, shower, and all the stuff you do before you go to bed...and then take a couple of pills of aspirin, break them up and crush them into dust...after that add a little bit of water to make a paste like substance, and rub/massage some of the paste onto the keyloid...and then leave it alone...its best to do this at night so it sits in over night. Do this until you start seein it go down.
2. rub cocoa butter on the keyloid and leave it alone afterwards...again do this until you see results
3. rub Tea Tree Oil on it, you can find it at a place called The Body Shop for like $6...you can also find it online at
thebodyshop.com
i used to work there, and well its great on piercings that have keyloids.
hope this all works, for more info chekc out the website i am leaving you as the source

What metal are you using? When I got mine pierced, they did it with surgical stainless steel, which is pretty much the norm. Normally, most people don't have any problem with it, but I did! My piercing was red and swollen, and it itched and hurt. I finally went and found a 10KT gold and a 14KT gold barbell. I am usually pretty metal sensitive, so I started with the 14KT. My piercing started healing up almost immediately. Once it had gotten to a certain point, I switched to the 10KT. Once I saw that it was still ok, I left that one in until it had completely healed, and then I switched it to the stainless steel one they pierced me with. I have had it in ever since. It's a little expensive to get the gold ones, but trust me, it's worth the try if you want to keep your piercing. Good luck!

By pushing the blunt ended jewelry in the hole and tearing the skin, you opened the piercing and your body to a lot of pain, bleeding and scarring. As soon as you saw the jewelry wasn't going in, you should have stopped immediatly and gone to a professional piercer for help. The bump formed could be a few things but is most likely hypertrophic scarring, but its hard to tell without actually looking at the lump.
Most likely if you take care of it, it will heal. But my advice to you is to see a professional piercer, tell them what happened and ask what you can use to clean the area and fix your problem.
For now read up on the following links and I suggest you use sea salt soaks twice daily and generally treat the piercing like it was new.

not likely this, but if you aren't careful it can turn into that

most likely this but could also be...

Get some chamomile tea bags. Make a cup and use the tea bag as a compress on the piercing. Chamomile is anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and antiseptic. If a day or two of that doesn't help, I'd go talk to the piercer.

in my view i think of abdomen button rings are extra eye-catching. I actual have one and that i didnt think of it replace into painful. My sister has the two and he or she reported her nostril harm the worst out of all her piercings, she has gotten her rook, nostril, and abdomen button. issues can ensue with the two you purely might desire to be careful to not get an infection. They the two will scar however the nostril may be considered extra. My sister has slightly carry in her nostril (that's closed) yet you will discover the place it replace into. It isnt truly noticable yet nonetheless there. And abdomen buttons rings leave a circle scar which isnt the prettiest. i wish this facilitates you elect.

That bubble is called a keloid. It's what happens when your skin doesn't want anything under it. You can sometimes get rid of them with care; soak the piercing in salty, warm water. I suggest purchasing H2Ocean. If you don't take care of it, it could become permanent.

Please go see your piercer.
If you've been having trouble with it, you should have gone to see them a LONG time ago!
And you may have a slight infection that you don't know about. Although it may not be that painful, it probably won't go away without an antibiotic, and you have to get that from a doctor.
So I would start by talking to your piercer about it. See what they say first.
