When I was in college, I thought about getting a tattoo just on my ring finger. Tattoos were becoming popular because the art was getting better. Now I am soooooo glad I didn't!! If I had been a man, maybe I could live with 4 if I could conceal them for certain job interviews and things like that. To me they represent that the person wants everyone to know they are tough and strong. Tattoos are a commitment and removing them is a lot more painful than just financially!! OUCH!! Good Luck!! @8-)

My parents and grandparents have tattoo. I have 5. The first one is 13 years old and even though it is not the best tattoo, I can still look at it and be instantly took back to that day and time when I had it done. I will never regret my tats. I will probably be the one to take my children to get their first one.

I have 2 right now, and my most recent one was a kanji symbol, and my older one is a cross. I love both of them, but my only problem is location. The kanji is on my right wrist, and the cross is on my left forarm. Both are in really terrible spots when I am trying to get a high end job. So in 20 years I will still love them cause they mean something to me.

I have 9, and I will look back and think that it was awesome. Do not live life in regret, you have your tattoos and unless you are willing to pay a lot of money they will always be there. So embrace it and Love your tattoos even when you are 80 and they look like crap.

I think that if they were well designed and planned out and have significant meaning to them that they will mean as much to me in twenty years as they did when I got them. And if they are done by a good artist you should have now reason to worry about how they will look, well except for sagging on ill placed tattoos, that will learn you to think twice about putting stuff there.

Mine isn't in a place that will sag or look badly with years to come. I love my tattoo (*** bullseye) lower back tat, and I'll always love it. I'd say that it all depends on the reason people get them, whether or not they really wanted the tat, or if it was all the hype... I got mine for a sentimental reason, so I'll never regret it

I'll feel the same way about my tattoos 20yrs from now that I feel about them the day I got them and the way I feel about them now. I don't regret any of my tattoos and never will. I love my tattoos and always will.

I have one on my right breast of a rose. In 20 years I'll be 50, so the older I get, I'll have a long-stemmed rose for the rest of my life.lol

Seriously, I think I'll still like my tatoo in 20 years. I plan to get more.

I regret the placement of mine and it's only been 4 years. Pregnancy does a number on a quarter sized lady bug beneath the hip bone! poor thing has 3 antennas now thanks to a stretch mark. still can't think of a goo tattoo to cover it up!
