Is the guy standing with the ladder underwater? And the person at the top of the ladder above the pool?
Or are none of them underwater at all?

lets say last night, i was abducted b yaliens and was put in a virtual reality to live out the rest of my life. and all of this is an illusion including the answerers to my question and everything else etc.

dont give a weak argument like "well if that was true how would i be answering" because obviousely i dont know if YOU exist. is there any way to show this idea false logicaly and rationaly? and argue from an objective and logical point of view

This question is for any avid readers, aspring writers out there like myself, or any full blown authors out there who may be answering. I read a review which said that it's hard to avoid cliches when writing a story with a protagnist who is a writer, but the review never really went into depth about this. I was wondering if anyone knew what the cliches are. I would really like to know since I am curently composing a story about a writer.

I think world's gone nuts. WE ARE LIKE ANIMALS ONLY WITH A FEW EXCEPTIONS.

We don't like learning too much. That's why our god Jesus didn't make a computer or car and found an easy way out.
And that's the only reason why we have a way too many religions, gods and DELUSIONS.

a lot of people say that but how do you truly feel about it. if you look around, someone may have the potential but not enough energy or can't ever get back on track, etc, etc, the list goes on. so how true do you feel this statement is in real life. thanx

Is it better to go with a traditional publishing service or do you really need a publishing agent first?

This is a poem from the book Lyrical Darkness. It is a book I wrote of poetry.

Transition

The things that my heart once felt
have long since gone away
Stagnant are my memories
no longer will they play
Emotion shut completely down
freeing back my mind
Bindings of felt misery
beginning to unwind
Peace instilling within me
restoring my once lost faith
Holding back transition
while for an answer I wait
Hope transferring feelings
as slowly I transgress
Pondering on my next move
this I must confess

The fountain of youth is such a thing that causes joviality in any man, let alone a pirate. Captain Butch, the epitome of a man obsessed with finding such a treasure, was bemused, wondering how he could find the Flue of Death, the passageway that led to the Island of Life, on which the fountain of youth was located. As Captain Butch was lost in thought, an old man boarded his ship, and was immediately surrounded by the crew, without having to be conjured by their captain. Captain Butch drew his sword, as he stared at the man. The man, seemingly finding something humorous about the situation, said “Foolish men, I come to aid you in your quest, and you threaten me?” “What quest do you speak of old man?”, said Captain Butcher, confused.

I've always been a musical person, after learning piano at grade one, but sadly giving it up due to my teacher leaving the area and none around for miles.

I love music and I love the guitar. I'd love to learn and I've found a starting point. I've found some decent basic lessons on about.com http://guitar.about.com/library/blguitarlessonarchive.htm and I have friends of friends who are guitarists in their own bands, so I can learn off them.

I've seen a pack online for beginners http://www.guitar.co.uk/packages/beginner_electric/979-westfield_e1000_and_johnson_10_watt_amp_electric_guitar_package which is both reasonable and attractive.

I now have a few questions:

When did you start at playing guitar and how?
What do you think of the guitar I showed?

Thanks for your time.
