I have a problem. I want to be a published author. And I love to write. But that's only when I get the feeling to write. Most other times, I don't want to write at all. The feeling just comes and goes and hasn't ever been permenant. How do I get myself to write something more often? All the time if possible. I also have a problem with writing and actually finishing. Should I keep it up? Am I destined to be a writer? Or should I quit while I'm ahead? Or do I just need a bit of self-discipline?

Hiding out behind the leaves
I was difficult to reach
But you picked me

Like a shell upon a beach
Just another pretty peice
I was difficult to see

If you know of a new series on the market now or coming before Christmas, that would be great. I'm familiar with older series and books.

Plotinus thought that until we fixed all our flaws, we could not see true beauty, and be closer to the "one." Isn't safe to say that the movie, "Sweet November", is alike, in the idea that if you fix your inner problems good things would come about? Like the fact that Keanu Reeves character starts to fix his problems, like selfishness, materialism, and his hard heart, and he is a transformed man, a better man. I am having a hard time finding a modern day comparison to this idea about fixing our flaws, whether a commercial, movie, or song? HELP!

Another member of Yahoo answers who has made an impact on you?If so pls. share. I have.

I met a beautiful soul by chance
He gets his message across peacefully and poetically
without ever losing his stance.
Spirit is lighty and uplifting
He's a breath of fresh air.
I have come to know him through words
and about him and his family I certainly care.
Each day he puts a smile on my face
He's been anointed by our lord
His supreme grace.
Enjoying the times we have now
But all I can say about Semper Fi Reborn
Is wow.
Thanks.

If this is true, is this saying authors who write fantasy know about fantasy. Those who write about heavenly life forms know them as well. It makes sense to me to write about what feels good to you.

Here is the beginning of a story I'm writing (I know, it's short, but I just started):

Salina stealthily crept through the damp woods, her bare feet scarcely making a sound on the muddy ground. Her tattered brown cloak offered no protection from the cold gusts of autumn wind, and clearly had spots in need of re-stitching. She pulled the thinning hood over her head again, but the strong wind tossed it backed again. Her straight brown hair, soaked to the skin by the relentless downpour, flew off her shoulders and seemed to dance around in the wind.

I need to know if only the educated were wealthy? And if this helped the Roman Catholic Church get more power? And how this all influenced the setup of life *( peasants, popes, priests, and kings) If you have any info or site links, it would be much appreciated. Thanks so much!!
