No human being ever has an independent mind. The mind of the Cosmos is one. Human beings only have a brain that acts as a receiving and a transmitting station. Every second thousands of thoughts flow through our brain! The invocation of thoughts by us is purely dependent upon our residual balance of karma.
One with a sunny disposition and godly thinking always invokes positive thoughts from the reservoir of mind plus. One dominated by ego and indulging in wanton desires and materialistic riches invokes negative thoughts from the reservoir of mind minus. The mind of the Cosmos has two compartments... mind plus and mind minus.
From mind plus flow all positive thoughts throughout Cosmos. All negative thoughts emerge from the reservoir of mind minus. The fullest potential of human being is realized the moment one gains enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) and finally salvation (moksha). For gaining enlightenment one needs establishing absolute control over the five senses and the mind.
The moment we establish absolute control over the senses and the mind... we reach the stage of
Nirvikalpa Samadhi when one can have a dialogue with God Almighty on one-to-one basis. Nirvikalpa Samadhi is the state of nothingness... the flow of thoughts to our brain ceases totally! Gaining control over the five senses is difficult but not impossible.
Mahavira, Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ and Prophet Mohammed... all gained enlightenment in their lifetime and became man gods (human Gods). For crossing the ocean of Samsara (worldly life) we need to cut across karma in its entirety. No residual balance of karma... no further life to manifest... our soul atman regains its original pure pristine form!
As one proceeds ahead in the journey of life... we need to travel the spiritual path by practicing absolute truthfulness in every phase of life. Truthfulness is that ingredient in the life of human beings devoid of which none can reach the stage of enlightenment nor can one establish absolute control over the senses and the mind.
The prime purpose of our soul atman manifesting the body... the human form is eradicating the impurities within! As impurities within soul atman reduce... one gets ahead in the journey of life. Gradually one overcomes the senses by removing the complete dross within. Practicing absolute celibacy is also an essential necessity on the spiritual path.
The body is best maintained by exercising it properly. Channelizing the monthly quota of cosmic energy creatively (provided to every human being by grace of God Almighty)...one awakens the Serpentine Kundalini faster. As the Kundalini opens up... one gains maturity in the journey of life! Sooner or later one finally awakens the Kundalini fully.
The moment Kundalini awakens fully... the Serpentine energy is fully activated... human beings reach the level of Mahavira, Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ or Prophet Mohammed! Channelizing the monthly quota of cosmic energy by practicing absolute celibacy for a minimum period of 12 years is a sure shot method for awakening of the Kundalini fully. By letting go of limiting beliefs. Any belief that inhibits you, will prevent you from this goal. If you believe that X is possible then you open yourself to the potential and even to the actualization.
If you don't believe that something is possible, you are like not to try. If you believe that something is not worth the effort, you are likely to give up.
Understanding your motivation is helpful. Our intention and motivation is also a source of difficulty for many. What you intend to do with the developed mind and body is a reason alone to explore.

You could challange your mind this way. Look at all the answers you are getting from this question and think of how you can make them better. Then make those better (if you can).
Just remember we are talking about you potential. I don't know what your's is. That's up to you.
Physically I don't know how you can do that. I guess you could exercise (great answer... lol....) until you can't anymore.
Just remember you don't want to exhaust yourself.

i read this ariticle called "the warrior method" once.
this guy went all out for 30 days, exercising far more than normal every day, read 10 full sized books, learned all kinds of new skills.
you have to prepare yourself mentally before hand. however, afterward i'm sure you'd have a much easier time accomplishing many tasks in stressful situations than than a normal person.

It starts with "self-discipline," The ability to "start." As in Push.
Which most young adults have not yet learned.
To reach your full potential. You have to set "goals."and strive
for them, and not perfection. To error is "human." To forgive is
"devine."
I've been on answers for a long time, and I, have never had
anyone ask such a "positive question." And your "attitude" is
the same. I am sure! My hat's off to you. <}----:-})

"Push" is not the way to unlock your infinite potential.
This may sound a bit odd, but "Stop" is the way to do it. That is the way to brighten up and unlock your full potential.
Pardon me if this doesn't make sense right now, but this on line resource will explain it.
