I'm just reading the book and it's not what I expected. It's good but it's much more serious and deep than I thought it would be. Is the play as serious? I really want to see it but I'm wondering if it follows the book closely. I want to know what to expect.

After the 1917 Russian revolution the British government granted asylum in Britain to Nicholas II, his wife and their immediate family. King George V intervened and the offer of asylum was withdrawn.

i) Why did George V not want Nicholas II granted asylum in Britain?

ii) On what constitutional basis was the King allowed to overule parliament in this case?

first of all, i am not suicidal; i'd just like to hear your opinion on why you think it happens, can you relate to people who've done it, etc. (not interested in hearing from those who can't relate to my question and if anyone is suicidal always remember that you are responsible for your own actions. thanx)

poem 1
I just stopped by to take a look
And see if anyone owned this book
No owner did I see around
So I thought I'd jot this little poem down.

Odds and ends
I thought our love was such a dilly
I wish someone would slap me silly!
---------
I know that I have goofed again
Cuz this ain't how its pose to been!
--------
smoke smoke makes you choke
too much of it makes you croak!
------------
sue sue sticked like glue
like to stick her on the bottom of my shoe
then when i need her I don't got to look
All I got to do is pick up my foot!
--------
while walking down the road one day
I felt the urge to go astray
I wandered off the beaten path
And now I wonder where I'm at!
---------
He's gone so very far away
I know this time he's gone to stay
I'll wipe my tears, be sad no more
And watch TV and not the door!
----
hope you all enjoyed them as much as I enjoyed writing them

Deleuze/Guatarri - Thousand Plateaus

Sartre- Critique of Dialectical Reason Vol. 1 (Have begun to read this one....very interesting)

Alain Badiou: Being and Event

Let's suppose that Mr.A went back in time before his biological father even met his biological mother. In a twist of fate, Mr.A unwittingly kills his biological father .
But the consequence would be a paradox: If his father was killed, then Mr.A would not be born. If Mr.A were not born, then, there would be no Mr.A that would go back in time to kill his father so his father would be alive. But if his father is alive then Mr.A would be born to kill his father. And a vicious circle of cause and effect results.

How does one get around this absurd problem? Does it say anything about the way time moves or how cause is connected to effect?

You never hear about schools for it, other than radio broadcasting schools. I'm not wanting to be on the radio, but in animated movies. Mention just about any animated movie and I can tell you the voices. It's a strange hobby of mine. Not to mention I dream of having that kind of job. I'm aware of taking acting classes, but how else do you go about getting into this unique industry?

Can someone tell me why we are here on this earth? It doesn't make any sense! We're these beings in the middle of the universe, which for all we know is infinite....And how the heck did the universe come into being? If you really think about it...it is so confusing! Is this all an illusion?
