The Grace Darling Museum in Bamburgh, Northumbria.
Royal National Lifeboat Institute museum commemorates the life of lifeboat heroine Grace Darling who with her father rescued survivors from the shipwreck of the SS Forfarshire in 1838. This small museum in Bamburgh has the original boat used in the rescue on display.

As the weather would not let any boats near?
footnote,
Most old Sailors never learnt to swim becuse it was better to go down with the boat than treadwater for 4/5 hours and drown in pain. I was brought up and never taught to swim for that reason
