***Incas Video Report***

In this report I will be informing you about what I learned when I watched this documentary called “The Lost City of the Incas”. I really hope you enjoy reading about the Incas as much as I liked hearing about the Incas.
In the year of 1911 Hiram Bingham, a Spanish explorer explored eastern Peru. Hiram Bingham made an incredible discovery of a structure of ancient America called Machu Picchu. Five hundred years ago thousands of people lived there. Little is known about Machu Picchu and what the area was used for. Archeologists still wonder why the Incas chose such a strange and dangerous place to build their city, and questions still remain about how the Incas got their huge stones up the hills. But they do believe they know how they carved the stone into their breath-taking shape. Slowly archeologist are starting to solve the Machu Picchu puzzle. They wonder why the Incas would build such a beautiful city and suddenly abandon it. It has thousands of visitors annually, coming to examine the mysterious place.
The Incas called themselves “children of the sun”. And it is believed that the Incas settled in Cuzco sometime in the 12th century. Not long after the Incas built Machu Picchu they were taken over by the conquistadors, and what used to be a proud city full of cheer turned into a city of silence and secrets. Today in Cuzco, there is still evidence of how sophisticated the Incas became.
By the 15th century the Incas controlled the area from Colombia to Chile. The Incas believed that sacrifices would help the empire and the children that were sacrificed were honored if they were chosen to be sacrificed.
Thank you for taking your time to read my report on the Incas. I hope you have learned something that you didn’t already know and I hope this inspires you to want to learn more about the Inca empire and other empires. Have a great day!

Why should I be content? Why should I not strive for greatness? Why shouldn’t I become a Conqueror? Why shouldn’t I take what I want? What difference does it make in the end? I can die in obscurity a man who obeyed the rules and took to his grave an immeasurable potential or I can take control of my environment instead of just adjusting to it. Why are you so docile? Do you not want more? Do you not want power? You will die anyway, why live as a sheep instead of the lion you are?

Called for Rusty running spaniel,
This dog never missed his dinner,
Nightfall came and I went looking,
Day break too, along the creek bed,

In the damp dark woods I found him,
Lying sleeping endless autumn,
With a tear for lost companion,
Covered him with leaves and twigs

Then I came again on Tuesday,
Stared at what he had become,
Hungry forest floor devoured,
Eyeless sunken fleshless mound,

Comes the snow, Missouri winter
Locked in stasis, frozen, finished,
I pray for spring to come and take him,
Release him from this purgatory,

For example: My jeep broke down so I don't have a ride anywhere. It's fair season and I'd b at the fairs doing who knows what. Is it by sheer luck or chance that I can't get to the fair or is there like an unseen force that is keeping from going. Fate. Lemme know what your thought are.

Is flashbacks really a good idea?

I tend to picture my story as a movie when I write. It just helps me that way rather than outlining. Maybe I shouldn't be doing this. But, I need to slow the pace down a bit. What would be a good way of going about this? I always heard flashbacks were to be avoided.

Somewhere in time a pope, saint outlined the righteous reasons for war. I believe there were 16 reasons. Such as; freedom, democracy, religion etc. Two American wars were called "the war to end war" and the war to make the world safe for democracy". Fueds like Vietnam were not sanctioned by the pope so they were called Police Actions. The military had problem getting recruits. Where can I find the righteous reasons?

As someone who likes to go out snapping away with the camera I often get drawn into debates by enthusiasts about whether photography can really be classified as art. My feeling is it is more technical illustration than art. The types of photos I take, such as rugby, glamour and the odd wedding can hardly be called art. So what do you think? Is it an art or something else?
