It was just Albert Brooks. Lincoln wanted to meet Lassie but that ratbastard Timmy wouldn't agree to use the time machine Lassie built to take Lassie to the White house circa 1863. He didn't even try.
For Lincoln, meeting Albert Brooks was second best to meeting Lassie. The part that gets confusing is how the heck did Brooks get back to 1863 without a time machine?
Maybe he borrowed the one Lassie built? As far as I know Brooks and Lassie don't know each other, but perhaps they do now?.
