Bit of confusion about what i mean here.!!
when i say 'clean up' i mean that you can wash any stencils you may have used in water!
i spray stencil art onto canvas presently with traditional spray paint . I'm just looking for a water based equivalent which wont smell as much and that can be easily washed off the stencils.

Krylon H2O is a water-based acrylic spray, available at most hardware or big box stores.

The problem is that once acrylic paint dries it is waterproof. But: your local car accessory shop will probably have a nice range of acrylic car spray paints. Every colour and almost every shade. But once dry they need something more powerful than water to clean up.

Acrylics are water soluble but when dry the are almost water resistant. That is what acrylic is.
If you want to be able to Wash it out you may want to go with
Gouache Paint and an airbrush set.
Even after it is dry it still will dissolve in water.
(Please note that some pigments are very tough to get out of clothes no matter in what paint they came)

I don't think so, but you could try water based acrylic paint in a air brush.
You would get the same effect.

You mean you want to be able to spray paint on something, like a wall, and then be able to just hose it off later?
That kind of paint doesn't exist. Acrylic is water-based, but it's only water-soluble until it's dry. After that, it's plastic.
Poster paint or tempera would probably work for your purposes, but it doesn't come in spray form.
I hope you're not thinking of doing this as a "harmless prank" on somebody else...because as someone else mentioned, even tempera paints have pigments in them that stain like the devil.
