Are you a realist or at least very practical?
2 times 1 equals 2. It's a statement of reality. It is what it is and it will always be what it always was.
A lot of people are fixated on numbers such as 111, 212, 313, 414, 515 and so on.
They usually are extreme realists or need constant reassurance for some reason or other.
If something is going on in your life, you may be reassuring yourself subconsciously.

212 is a special number for ancient egyptions and modern hindus
as it represents that two soldier (2) guarding the mejesty (1)
its a story reminder. they put this all over the walls and stuff to remind people about two soldiers who had died to guard their mejesty!
and if you square this number, then u get 44944, its obvious but it also adds up to 25, which has the same elemental gods as hindus does, so basically 212 is a reminder number (or symbol) for some stories! or facts, whatever........

212 is significant to you because you yourself have made 212 significant. If you believe that number means something or shows up when it needs to, it will. Your mind will make it true, because you already believe it to be true. Don't underestimate the power of your mind. Sort of like how people thought the world was flat. They believed it to be flat, and even had explanations and "proofs" that the world was flat. Self profiling prophecy, read up on it sometime.
