Besides the issue of not trusting your sense impressions, this is a major issue in epistemology. Example of Analytical Philosophy philosophers: Russell and Wittgenstein

She sat on her sofa with tears falling down her cheeks. They formed a pool in the hollows of her eyes before splashing onto the photo below. The picture was of her and her beloved ex-boyfriend that left her at the height of their relationship for a reason that she did not know. With the last tear that she was going to cry, she whispered to her self; "I can't do this anymore." He had told her so many lies during their relationship. He told her that she was beautiful; that she was the best thing that happened to him; and that she was the only person that he wanted to be with the rest of his life. And she fell for all those lies. With all the memories that he left her with made her do nothing but cry. With all the things that they have been threw together, he had to leave it all behind for nothing. He made her feel like something for once in her life and now that he's gone, she thinks that she will never love again.

The same Ideal:

"Thou shalt love the Lord Thy God with all thine heart, thy neighbor As thyself!"

The ideal is Love.

Well the ideal that most of people have now is: power. Power of money, power of position, power of wealth, power of this, that or the other.

The best Ideal for all will be: Love of God (but not as a phisical God - as you imagine, an old man, or a fiction character, etc.) But Love God, the spirit inside each and one of us, Love God the spirit that makes us one.

Believe and search. Search and you will believe.

Science is right and Religion is too. You can combine it.

(do search for other questions I asked or statements that I made, just too see that I am not an fanatic, as some religious people are) I accept science beacuse It is right, religion beacuse it is, too, right and I accept philosophy beacuse I am an writer of fiction and philosopher.

Think before you answer. Think, Research and Believe.

Seriously, I could sit here for hours reading all these questions and responses. I find it so intriguing. Does anyone else feel this way? What are some good books I could read?

On The Outside of the Inside
Written By Semper Fi Reborn 9/19/07

We don't get to choose our families.
We don't get to pick those,
Who form our early years.
We don't decide our siblings.
We just make due with what's given.
Strive to keep living.
Sometimes,
We're even on the outside of the inside.

Children want love and affection,
They want to be accepted, and just be.
They need recognition of their talents.
They need a push of encouragement.
So they can be!
Everything you said they could be.
Because they look up to you.
And openly love you.
Sometimes,
They feel they're on the outside of the inside.

Why can't they ever remember your birthday?
Why are you the last to know of any celebration?
Why do they want to disrespect you?
Aren't they supposed to love and protect you?
Now I have a wife and a family.
They keep me grounded and focused.
Surrounded by love.
All the things I needed from you first.
Yet you gave me none of the above.
That's why I'm on the outside of the inside.
Praying.

My web tech teacher is making us research “resolution”, “rule of thirds” and “framing” for taking photographs. I try to look for some web sites that could help me but the only one that came up as wikipedia. The problem is that my teacher says that wikipedia is not reliable but i dont know where else i can get a good explanation of these three words. I kind of understand resolution and the rule of thirds but framing i really do not understand at all. can someone please help me.

I paint original artwork, which I then sell. Do I retain the copyright, as the artist, or does it transfer to the buyer automatically as part of the sale?

Morality and ethics often require that we do things that we should do and not necessarily want to do.

What did you do that you didn't want to do?

Is it possible to love something or someone, and not become too attached to them - accept it will die eventually, or be taken from you - not let your desire or greed overtake you - to avoid negative emotions - so that when the time comes for it to perish, you can accept the circle of life's right to take away and give what it creates.

My point is, if you can love something, but accept it's eventual perishment, and be enlightened - you can appreciate it for what it is, not be greedy and not create negative emotions which lead to suffering.

So saith Buddha. Do you agree?
What do you think he meant? Maybe he was like the Stoic Marcus Aurelius, when he said that we can't control what happens to us, but we can control how we react.

Just curiious how may of you out there who are resident in another country and don't normally speak English as your 1st language, still check out English 'Answers' rather than a more (nationally) appropriate version.

Please indicate which country you are writing from. No reason. Just curious.

I don't wanna offend anyone, but really what is the difference? We're told about these people when we're young and eventually people stop believeing in santa... WHY are we told about these people? To get us to behave. Be good and you'll get xmas presents be bad and you get coal. Be good and u go to heaven be bad and u go to hell. At five years old I was told God could see inside my head and see ALL the bad thoughts I was thinking and if I thought bad thoughts I would go to hell. Is that not CRUEL? Why do people not stop believing in God when they grow up? Why only stop believing in Santa?
