philosophy is one of the most interesting things. We all live, we all have life, and we all want to know about it. Think about it, so many people wander around never knowing about (this sounds rather gerneral)--but life. I'm like you, I can't get enough of it. Just thinking about questions and searching for answers, reading articles about the human mind, about earth, about theory and just other questions. Digging as deep as you can into a subject to understand all the meanings is a thrill. I'm surprised more people aren't into it.

If you have never read Plato's republic you should start there. One thing that also might help is a book on how to read philosophy. It makes understanding the parts of it easier. The republic is probably the second most influential book in western society even though it is so idealistic. really, anything by Plato is a good place to start, because that is where western philosophy begins. The apology is a great book too.

It is a place to gain true understanding of all that is; who, what , when where and how. All questions have as many answers as there are opinions and sharing them allows us to feel that we are not ever really alone. All books tell the story of someone's experiences because authors draw from them to share events. Librarys are full but some of my favorites have never been published. Read the writing on the walls and imagine a book of such words.

I think it is wonderful for you! I have a hard time understanding philosophy, just barely squeeked by in 101! It takes a very intelligent and deep thinking person to even understand this stuff. Kudos to you, maybe you should think about a career in teaching it???

The answer to your question is in the word "philosophy" .
The word itself is of Greek origin: ÏιλοÏοÏία (philosophÃa), a compound of ÏÎ¯Î»Î¿Ï (phÃlos: friend, or lover) and ÏοÏία (sophÃa: wisdom) - the love of wisdom.
Simply, you are in love!
You are in love with wisdom, knowledge and truth. A noble soul .. Be proud of it!

Yea, but philosophy isn't just about surfing the net to see what other people are saying. Make your own thoughts, my friend.
