The same Ideal:
"Thou shalt love the Lord Thy God with all thine heart, thy neighbor As thyself!"
The ideal is Love.
Well the ideal that most of people have now is: power. Power of money, power of position, power of wealth, power of this, that or the other.
The best Ideal for all will be: Love of God (but not as a phisical God - as you imagine, an old man, or a fiction character, etc.) But Love God, the spirit inside each and one of us, Love God the spirit that makes us one.
Believe and search. Search and you will believe.
Science is right and Religion is too. You can combine it.
(do search for other questions I asked or statements that I made, just too see that I am not an fanatic, as some religious people are) I accept science beacuse It is right, religion beacuse it is, too, right and I accept philosophy beacuse I am an writer of fiction and philosopher.
Think before you answer. Think, Research and Believe.

Research. Think. Believe.
I am not saying you should belive, I say you should think before you speak.
Peace will come when each man and woman will have the same Ideal. The good one. Not Power.

Take time, at least once in your life, and listen, not talk, listen to your inner self - body, mind and soul. Each is important:
The body - health
The mind - knowledge (science and religion, and other domains as well - all are important)
The soul - love.

it is a question.
"Do you think peace will come if all of us will have the same ideal?"
I understand religion, there are many religions that have diferrent ideas about what is what.
I understand science, the theory of evolution and other theoryes. Chemistry, Phisics, etc all are important. But you can`t say that only one is important.

Some religious people that say: "God made me" or "In the name of God" are crazy, and not religious. Religion means love, not war. So those who says war is religion then they are wrong.
Well psihological: the sistem of morality is, what for religious people is God, the definition of good and bad.
"God is dead" - Nietzsche. He reffers to God not as a death body, but the people that lost faith in God, the people that don`t believe in God. So once God is dead, we should know how to live without Him. This theory is helpfull for the Atheists. And I agree with it. God is dead for Atheists and Nietzsche showed that we can live without Him, too. But we can live with him as well.
Everyone has the possibility to choose.

Aces'n'eights, I agree with you. People have different ideas, beliefs.
We should not say that his belief is wrong or his idea is wrong, unless we can give an argument that in it`s substance determines that man`s belief or idea to be wrong. But we have not yet discovered an argument that states religion is wrong.
-Science is right, all the way. But it has gaps, they will be filled with other scientific ideas.
-Religion has gaps, more then science. There will people who will try to fill those gaps.
So time will tell, if religion was wrong or it was right. As for science it did - and it is right.

I'd like to think you're right, but people will just look at this as a religeous recruitment drive, pity, as the message itself has merit. I'm not religeous but I still hold many of the same values as you do.
Help not hinder, tolerance not hatred, so if your point is that we as people should look to be better people in our everyday life, then I'm with you all the way.
I have never and will never tell someone who has faith that their God does not exist, I expect they, in return, to accept that I do not believe. The problems arise when the finger gets pointed and people are told they're wrong, unfortunately about 75% of the world are still doing it.
Oh, BTW, congratulations for being the first level-headed and informative writer of a question of this nature I've read. Its nice to have sensible debate rather than accusations and ranting.
Be safe, Be happy.

Jesus came, lived a sinless life, and died a sin-bearing death for us all. We are to love one another. Some interpret love and forgiveness as the complete absolvement of the consequences of sin. This is not biblical. Nahum 1:3 tells us that God will surely NOT let the guilty go unpunished. There is a larger theme throughout the Scriptures as a whole that indicates that our salvation is with God, not man. We are forgiven through Christ in the eyes of the Father, not necessarily men. As humans we still must pay the price for our crimes, and we all sin. Christ paid the ultimate price, purchasing the faithful into salvation. Nevertheless, if we get a speeding ticket, we must pay it. If we murder, we may face the death penalty. What is important to see is that even though we have faith, Christ still had to die for our sins. there is a penalty to be paid. So, too, are we subject to the laws of the state, including the death penalty if we commit a crime that warrants it. We may be eternally saved, but being forgiven by God, does NOT absolve us of the earthly consequences (and punishment) of our sins. As Christian individuals we are to forgive one another. we are to turn the other cheek when wronged. But these are commands to the individual. We are not to kill the perpetrator in a revenge act of murder-justice. It turns out the state may have a death penalty by law, and that is OK. Just as the state has the authority to wage war, so too does it have the authority to put someone to death for their crimes.

o okay... and who is God again? ive never met God and dont know anything about God so doing what youre asking is impossible.
are you speaking of the Christian God who has ordered killings and rapes? the Islamic God who has ordered at least killings? The Hindu God's who talk to cows and worship beer? Just which of these imaginary Gods should I blindly follow?
Mankind will have peace when he accepts responsibility for his own actions and stops believing in these stupid Gods. Well, maybe there wont be peace but that woudl be a fantastic first step.

Yes, my young friend. I see that you have searched and found the right balance. You are wise for your few years in this time which tells me that your soul has journeyed far beyond many who are considered older than you. Love is part of the answer to world peace and continuance. You represent the wisdom that comes with understanding. Your 'light' shines as bright as a beacon in the darkness that surrounds this planet and our days on this Earth. Through your eyes, I see much hope for a better tomorrow.

Man women relations are best demonstrated in the Indian Culture through the concept and idol of Arthanareeswara, half man and half woman idol. They are two complete halves, and one can not substitute the other, haviing distinct rolls in life. Man must aspire for manhood, and woman woomanhood. They are distinct, and mutually complimenting. When manhood and womanhood mutually compliments, there is completion, of Prakriti and Purusha as told in the Sankhya Philosophy, and then there shall be peace.

Peace will come when each man and woman have died. Humanity's rather hopeless when it comes to learning the more profound bits of wisdom that exist, and so the continuance of ignorance will only bring more disaster.

gone from this planet. human beings are not designed to be at peace. it is not realistic to expect that we will ever all be in agreement all at the same time. however much we try to accept other cultures, religions or whatever, there will always be someone to rock the boat, disagree or refuse to compromise in their beliefs. reality check...

I agree with your philosophy, I don't think you are a nutter and people that say you are, say such things because they cannot think deeply about anything - either because they don't possess an inquisitive mind or they are not interested in thinking about anything other than the "silly stuff" that doesn't pose much need for thought.

In my mind, only love of peace can bring peace...and it IS powerful.
The power OF love.
The power TO love.
And though it harm no one...pursue your ideals with reckless abandon.
(be careful...many wars have been started because someone presumed to know what "The best Ideal for all will be...")
