Like an apple on a tree
Hiding out behind the leaves
I was difficult to reach
But you picked me

Like a shell upon a beach
Just another pretty peice
I was difficult to see
But you picked me

That is really cute. What is different in this poem, compared to most of the poems I see in this section is that youhave really good similes that you develop beyond just a throwaway line. That's my personal preference in poetry, to go into those analogies a little more. This reads very easily. It's quick, sweet and simple, and expresses a real depth for so few words. And I like the fact that you didn't get hung up looking for exact rhymes that didn't fit your purpose, but you went with close rhymes (I forget the exact term, somebody help me) that sound good and fit what you were saying.
