lets say last night, i was abducted b yaliens and was put in a virtual reality to live out the rest of my life. and all of this is an illusion including the answerers to my question and everything else etc.

dont give a weak argument like "well if that was true how would i be answering" because obviousely i dont know if YOU exist. is there any way to show this idea false logicaly and rationaly? and argue from an objective and logical point of view

Why do you assume that it would happen, maybe it already did, or that its always been like that.

The only way you can discover something like that is

1 the people or things responsible for your situation mess up and you find out, or
2 someone from outside comes to your aid. but again that person can be part of the virtual reality.

If you can distinguish between your dreams and your waking life then, you would likely know the difference.

You also have the past and memories which makes a virtual world unlikely and even if it were possible that would provide clear skills to uncovering the deception being perpetuated.

I guess if your reality wasn't real, then you wouldn't know one way or the other, would you? It would be real enough to you, and that's all that matters. So, there would be no way to know if this is real, or not either - unless there was some outside influence, you'd never know!

there are ways to dispell this idea, it's basically a warped version of plato's allegory of the cave, look up that and find critical views
