And acceptance is the answer to all my problems today. When I am disturbed, it is because I find some person, place, thing, or situation--some fact of my life--unacceptable to me, and I can find no serenity until I accept that person, place, thing, or situation as being exactly the way it is supposed to be at this moment. Nothing, absolutely nothing happens in God's world by mistake. Until I could accept my problems for what they were, I could do nothing about them; unless I accept life completely on life's terms, I cannot be happy. I need to concentrate not so much on what needs to be changed in the world as on what needs to be changed in me and in my attitudes.

I hope this helps. Good Luck!

Being hostage to our feelings is what keeps many people in misery.

What you wrote reminds me of destiny and fate. I disagree with these concepts. These, rather, are conceptualizations of what could, should and would be. They are a demonstration of dissatisfaction with what exists. it is likely that a person who has a conception of how they wanted their life to be compared to what it is would have this experience.

If some are destined for greatness then, other children were destined to be abused.

If some are destined for fame or wealth then, others were destined to be miserable, poor and enslaved.

I would challenge anyone to demonstrate logically that anyone has a destiny.
