Is the guy standing with the ladder underwater? And the person at the top of the ladder above the pool?
Or are none of them underwater at all?

Here's the link to the picture.

i would say underwater. you can see the movement of the water at the top and the reflection against the pool from the sun. the guy is ontop of the water cause he looks kind of sketchy (people dont look clear when you see them through water ofcourse) but the fact that the girl is standing straight, feet flat on the floor with nothing floating makes it hard to tell, its kinda like, a picture where you get to decide what it is, you have to analyse it alot. its a nice picture.

I think the guy with the ladder is underwater because his surroundings look like the inside of a pool and you can see the water above him. And the other guy above water. But I think the artist made the guy underwater look like he isn't because his hair doesn't like wet or his clothes, and he's standing underwater I don't think thats that easy to do. So I think logically the guy with the ladder is under the water and the other guy above but I think the context of the photo is that the guy though he's actually underwater he isn't showing any signs of it. And also the angle of the photo is interesting because you see up out of the water! Cool pic, and good question!! Hope this answered it in some way!

I don't think either of them are underwater. I know for sure the girl isn't---her hair would be floating if she were. Also she's casting a shadow directly onto the pool wall, but there are no watery highlights on her pants.

I think her shadow is painted too. The angle of light casting the pool shadow and the girl shadow are not quite from the same angle.

I think this is a shot of (a) an empty pool with no water (b) and underwater shot looking up at a guy above water (c) a fashiony shot of a girl who wasn't in a pool at all. The artist combined a,b,and c in Photoshop and added some painting.

None of them are underwater they use effects and make it look like 1 person is underwater u need 2 c the things that r missing and then it will make sense.

It's a digitally altered picture.

He was shot with the camera under water, she was shot in the empty pool.

Whoever did the alterations really made a bad mistake when they forgot to put the water's effect on the light on her as well among other things.

It looks like the photo was re-touched using an opaque filter only at the top of the pool.

the picture is taken/drawn to low down. it needs to be higher up so that when you look at it, you can see abit above the water too.
