I heard that fossils are dated by the layers they are found in,but the layers are dated by the fossils found in them;if this is true isn't it circular reasoning??

Wouldn't it be the most beautiful and elegant poetry imaginable? Wouldn't its divine authorship be obvious just from the quality of the text? Wouldn't it far surpass the greatest human poetry?

Now compare that ideal to the leaden prose of the Bible and Qu'ran. There are some works of poetry which instantly move anyone who reads them. When I read these 'holy' books, I'm often repulsed.

i was attending an online course from aug 07 to sept 07
i was in the class for about 10 weeks not even a quarter
when i quit in sept because i wasnt satisfied with the education i was receiving
i was told that i would owe nothing
two months later i got a call from salle mae saying i owed them 2501$
i called the school to see what was going on and they had told me they paid back the loan and they would take care of it

today i received a check from the school for 578$ and i called the school again and asked what this was for

they said again they repaid the load back to salle mae but i called salle mae just in case

salle mae said they didnt receive the loan back so i called the school again

the lady had told me she had given me false information and now i owe salle mae 2000 dollars for not even a quarter

these bastards bs'd me three times and now im stuck with a 2000 bill

is there anything i can do about this ? beside pay the money cause i cant afford that

Christians: What if someone lives by these commandments but do not believe that Christ is God, will he be saved? Or, will he be condemned by Christ ?

Atheists: These commandments are derived from the bible, a book you consider outdated and full of fiction, therefore these commandments are worthless guides for human conduct?

Muslims: These commandments are not in the Koran, therefore these must be evil and worthless guides for human conduct ?

My Grandmother doesn't get along with her siblings and has done everything she can to try to keep all of her family out of contact with them. We have just found out that my Mom's uncle died months ago and my Grandmother NEVER TOLD HER! We are all so hurt by this. She is always doing/saying something to hurt my Mom or my Mom's kids. Every time we think things are getting better, she does something worse. If we try to talk to her about how she makes us feel she just gets angry and nasty towards us for long periods of time. Any suggestions on how to make her understand how hurtful she is being? She is elderly and very stubborn and set in her ways.

I'm only 14 and my eyesight is already bad from playing too much computer. My eyeglasses presciption degree was 375 degree for both eyes. My mom said that once you get near 500 degree, you have a high chance of getting blind. Is that true? About what degree will you have high chance of being blind?

Blind from having a high degree, not just anything. So don't say" you can be blind at any degree, like if you got stabbed in the eye"
