Yeah, King Leopold of Belgium was a brutal tyrant and when Belgium took it over after Leopold's crimes became public, they should have endeavored to establish democracy there and allow for self-government, then maybe things would have turned out alot better.

What I know about the Congo history is terrible exploitation. Worse in many ways then the history of our dealings of our own American Indians.
