If God came behind an atheist ans slap him upside the head, he will say he doesn't exist, if God slaps him upside the head again, he will say, ok, I give.

If god came behind an agnostic and slap him behind the head, he will say, that might be God but not sure. If God slaps him again, he will say, that might have been God but I'm not 100% sure...

I've known athiest who converted, but never an agnostic. I think it's because atheism, like religion, is more emotional than intellectual. Agnostics rely more on their intelligence than their emotions. They will actually study all arguments with an open mind and are therefore harder to sway.

BTW I don't fall into any of those 3 categories so I am not biased.

Well, an Atheist doesn't believe God Exists, so if God came up behind an Athesit and slapped him upside his head, God would have to prove to the Atheist that he is God. God would have to do something that could not be explained by any natural, physics, or engineering law. So I think it would be just as hard converting an atheist as an agnostic. The Agnostic would ask for the same proof. Good question though. I'm not sure.

I myself am a Agnostic Spiritualist. So I believe in Spirit, I just don't agree with the word God. God has too many assumptions that are attached to it.

Your argument presumes that God is real, and then attempts illustrate his effects on those who do not believe in him. You'll need to give support for that premise, before you offer this argument.

Without doing this, you have simply offered a hypothetical super natural power. We could substitute faeries, the Boigie man, or that irritating FMS. If that is the case, I might concede that being slapped by noodley appendages would have revelatory effect on me, should that unlikely event occur.

Now I do have a point. You have used, to some effect, a trick to gain unwitting concessions from those who disagree with you. Clever, but to what end? Is reason a tool to manipulate, or is it better used to teach and illuminate? Is your argument compelling enough as to be convincing, without this sort of elementary logic game play?

It is hard to convince a man he is wrong, but easy to cause a thinking man to think. It is more work than duping those unversed in logical debate, but infinitely more rewarding.

Well, I used to be christian, and I can say nobody is going to convert me until I see a big man with a perfect beard and glowing white robes performing miracles for all to see.

Ever thought about the fact that the only "evidence" that "god" exists is the bible??
It is a work written by MAN, no GOD.
Take it out of a religious argument..and whoa, not one reason to say god exists.

God proves his wisdom and authenticity by slapping people upside the head?

I think agnostics are easier since there like more between atheists and Christanity. They too me are like the middle people. So being in the middle and open mined is a lot easier to me because most athiests have probably gone to the path of christanity so they didn't like it or want to change back. I think to me more close minded and open is easier then more closed minded. It's just though only my opinion and my view in life. I am not trying to influence you. I am trying to answer to the best of my abilities.

It sounds like you were just slapped silly. Your concussion could be serious. Get some rest but don't fall asleep for at least 8 hours.

Depends on what your definition of agnostic and atheist are in order to distinguish them...because, in all honesty, the reactions of most atheists would be identical to that which you have given for agnostics...

You're one of those people who think atheist and agnostic are mutually exclusive terms. Anyone not a theist is by definition an atheist. So any agnostic who is not a theist is also by definition an atheist.

It's not a difficult concept and yet people seem determined to not get it.
