So I'm on regular birth control, but my period always starts a few days after I start the placebo pills. Don't know why, but my OBGYN person said it was okay so I haven't worried about it. My question is, is it safe for me to have sex without a condom during this time, even though I'm only taking placebo pills?

First, your sequence is: 1, 1, 5, 13, 25, 41, 61

Take the differences between adjacent terms:0, 4, 8, 12, 16, 20

Take the difference again: 4, 4, ,4 ,4, 4

Notice that all the second differences are the same. This means the polynomial will be second order so the sequence must look like:

a*n^2 + b*n + c

Now its a matter of solving for a, b, and c. If you call this last difference (here its 4) k and your highest exponent m (here that is 2) then a = k/m!

To get the next coefficient (b) subtract a*n^2 from each term so the terms become:

1 - 2*1^2 = -1
1 - 2*2^2 = -7

You don't need to do the whole sequence, you only need to do one term more than the exponent you are trying to solve for. you get -6, -6, -6, -6, etc.
Using the formula for coefficients above b = -6/1! = -6

So the sequence formula so far is 2*n^2 - 6*n + c

To find c, just evaluate for n=1: 2*1^2 - 6*1 + c = 1
So: c=5

my grandpa just past away saturday and me and my mom found him in his chair at his house gone...... i cant sleep at night, all i think about is seeing him and how he is gone and i basically have nothing left..... I still havent gotten over my grandmas death from 2 years ago and now i have another to mourn...... christmas is a special holiday and i look forward to it because i get to spend it with my whole family..... there used to be like 20 people and now theres only gonna be about 7...... its so hard for me celebrate and be excited...... it has been the worst last 3 years because i have had 3 people past away that i really love to death in my family........ hoe am i going to get over actually seeing him dead and touching him....... i miss him sooooooooooo much and my grandma to..... what can i do.......

I mean, I can understand different opinions about abortion...however, I do not believe that harrassing a woman in any way, or choosing to kill a doctor that works at an abortion clinic, valid in any way. Why would you go out of your way to hurt somebody if you are such a christian? Even vulgar language and claiming that people are baby killers...it's just pathetic. If people are anti-abortion that's fine...but I don't think people have the right to try and ram their opinion down everybodies throat because "God" doesn't believe in abortions or they themselves think its wrong. Why can't people just accept the fact that there are different opinions and everybody has the right to choose?

These people are just a bunch of crazies! What do you think?

I used to run about 3km a day, (25-30 minutes) for about a year. almost everyday 3-6 times per week. and i would maintain a weight of about 150lbs and did o/exercise
but i started to get horrible shin splints. and nothing would take the pain away except very strong doses of OTC pain relievers. by the time i came to college I was done. It hurts every single time i try to start running again.

but now that I am at school I'm on "meal plans" and i really only have one or two meals per day, mostly once and the calorie count on average isn't even close to 2000 cal.

but i put 40lbs on

i would have figured that my running would've atleast boosted my metabolism to handle an average calorie intake.

I know building muscle mass has a lot to do with metabolism but how can I do that quickly?
i'm pushing 190. and it fluxuates dramatically.

I gain and lose about 10lbs a week. THIS is NOT a good sign, I KNOW. but that's what the scale says. sometimes i'm 178ish on friday, and on monday i'm 1

yeah, so i have a recently bought sony reciever and i am connecting it to the tv through a hdmi cord.

i have a xbox 360 and it does not have an hdmi port on the back. it only has componet cables. i need to buy an adapter in order for this to work in my reciever since i am already running hdmi.

what is the name of the adapter/converter?

There is someone in my life who I once considered a true friend. Recently however, she's become very destructive and bitter. She's encouraged me to cheat, told my fiance I'm going to cheat on him, tried to me convince that he's cheating or will, start rumors about him that almost got him bashed and basically caused all manner of trouble. She's used and abused me, tried to manipulate me and she's zapping the life out of me. She gives me bogus relationship advice, puts my fiance down and pushes me around.

I understand why she's bitter as she's miscarried three times this year, her relationship's on the rocks and her life is in shreds. But she's taking it out on me.

I've been there for her 24/7 (literally) but I can't handle her destructiveness anymore. She's texting me as I write this, demanding to know why I haven't called her in the last week or so. "Don't you love me anymore"

I feel so guilty turning my back on her. What the heck do I do?
