I mean, I can understand different opinions about abortion...however, I do not believe that harrassing a woman in any way, or choosing to kill a doctor that works at an abortion clinic, valid in any way. Why would you go out of your way to hurt somebody if you are such a christian? Even vulgar language and claiming that people are baby killers...it's just pathetic. If people are anti-abortion that's fine...but I don't think people have the right to try and ram their opinion down everybodies throat because "God" doesn't believe in abortions or they themselves think its wrong. Why can't people just accept the fact that there are different opinions and everybody has the right to choose?
These people are just a bunch of crazies! What do you think?

The Bible shows that God does NOT consider human life to be precious. He kills OVER 2 million people, including babies, and that isn't counting fetuses or the number of men, women, children, and fetuses killed during the Flood or the Slaughter of the Firstborns, when we are not told how many people he killed.
The Bible clearly shows that God approves of abortion, and in many cases commands it:
The Bible approves of killing pregnant women: Genesis 38:24, Numbers 31:17
The Bible approves of abortion: 2 Kings 15:16
God approves of abortion: Hosea 13:15-16
People are not counted as persons until they are a month old: Numbers 3:15
The Bible contains directions on how to abort any pregnancy caused by adultery: Numbers 5:12-31
The Bible says that being aborted is better than living a bad life: Ecclesiastes 6:3-5, Matthew 26:24
The Bible says that a person becomes a living soul when he BREATHES the BREATH of life into his nostril (fetuses don't breathe): Genesis 2:7

notadumm...I can be a catholic and not believe what the church says to be true...I am in no way going to be brain washed because my "superios" say that I must believe in something. The catholic church also interprets bible verses differently....nobody can say what is right and what is wrong when it comes to this issue. What if having an abortion is part of a womens plan for her life? What if God finds it necessary for her to have one as part of her "plan"?

23 weeks with baby #1...I don't think I condradicted myself in any way...I ALSO said that "I can understand different opinions about abortion." meaning I have no problems if people think that is wrong...but I don't think they should look down on other people or try to insult them for their opinion, which is what you were just doing in your response. People can just say "Yeah I don't agree with you for these reasons." without personally attacking somebody. How am I attacking anybody that is pro life? I'm talking about radical people who go out of their way to make sure a women feels bad for HER choice to get an abortion.

Da Ent Wife...I will reward your hard work, here is a pat on the back.
However, I'm not trying to use the bible to justify abortion, merely using the answer to another abortion question as an example that everybody interprets bible scriptures differently. I do appreciate you putting your two cents in. I myself am going through the scriptures to decifer my own opinion on them.
Does anybody know of a verse where it specifically states that abortion is wrong or right? I'm not trying to be condescending, I seriously would like to see one.
I mean like, none of this "God has a plan for you from the moment of conception." Because that plan could be to be aborted by your mother. Who is to say that the childs plan is to live a full life? It never says anything like that...

I think people that are against abortions are disgusting. It is very selfish for one to say what a woman in a 'free' country could do. A fetus is called a fetus for a reason, because it is NOT a human. It cannot feel.
My arguement is lets say a woman is raped, and then her own country turns on her and says she cannot get rid of it, which would most likely mean she is bringing another criminal into the world. A poor 12 year old girl gets raped. She cannot afford to support a child, then you have the crazy people saying she will have to find away.
I thank god that there are so many liberals living here in my area.
I agree with you, some people are crazy.
Also: Why would you ever keep a child which the father you do not know of, is a criminal and a sick B*****. 1st you DO NOT love him, nor maybe not even know him. Why the hell would you bring a child in this world with a father that ignorant.
Btw: good source of quotes
Edit: Okay so did you feel pain while in the womb. Your are not developed enough. Thats why a fetus is called a fetus, not a human
Also, Date Rape: Which many girls are victims off.
I am not going to have my country what I can do or what i cannot. Its MY body not YOURS so you have no right to tell me what I do and what I do.
Also how do you explain the statistic that abused children will grow up and 60% of them will abuse their significant others and children. Its a proven fact.
Also, I am agnostic, and I do not agree with religion playing apart in what I decide to do.
1. I was baptized at the age of 1 as a Russian Orthodox.
2. I went to a catholic school for 3 years, being made to go to church.
3. I still attend church to light a candle for my loved ones.
4. I do not belive in god.
So what exactly does my religon have anything to do with my beliefs. What does my body have to do with god.
And fortunatly enough I was not abused but I have done my research. 60% children who are abused will abuse back.
Okay so lets say they inherit their fathers 'bad' genes. Lets say they have anger issues. Lets say they abuse their spouse. That is all genetics. You know know damn right I am not going to have a child like that.
Take a look at Africa. They have no abortions and look what they have. An AIDS epidemic. Someone is going to have to control the population.
So lets say a monther has HIV, AIDS, STDs, whatever. It is passed onto her kid. She fully knows she has a chance of this. The kid has it and grows up with it. Has sex, and infects many more. So when is this going to stop.
Stang is my husband. He knows what it is like to live with a woman that is pregnant. AND also with woman that had abortions.

Regardless of which side of this debate a person is on - no one can "force" anything. America is a democracy, therefore, if the majority is pro-abortion rights, those rights will remain. If the majority becomes pro-life, that majority will vote in such a way as to facilitate a change in abortion laws - which would result in banning abortion altogether or reducing the number of abortions performed based on circumstance, etc.
It is your right - and duty - as an American citizen to stay aware of issues that are important to you and vote accordingly.
By the way - you most certainly CAN be Catholic and be pro-abortion rights. Your political views do not cancel out your faith - whether fellow members of your faith agree with you or not. It's just ONE of many reasons there is a separation of Church and State here. Aside from the fact that your faith/religion should NOT be telling you how to vote or believe - your beliefs ultimately are between you and God.
You cannot be Catholic and Pro-Choice - sheesh - who made notadummy the new Pope?
And no, people should not be harrassed with vulgar language, encroachment of personal space or borderline violence or threatening behavior (which includes yelling/screaming) for any reason.

Go have an abortion... nobody is stoping you. Let them say whatever they want. Its their opinion they have that right. As far as the violence crazy people are everywhere. You can't blame every christian for what some nut job did. A mexican once stole a car stereo... what does that prove... nothing that a car stereo was stolen. Does that mean we should lock up mexicans... no the guy just happened to be mexican. To try to put a blanket judgement on everyone that happens to have similar cultural beliefs as a person who commits a crime is called profiling. Look it up.
Aside from all that scientifically using ultrasound and sonigrams many people feel a child is alive in the womb. Many people who don't even believe in God find value in life.
Babies respond to their enviroment inside the womb. They can hear and preceive. Study after study shows babies begin learning inside the womb. This is medical science. You don't need God to tell you that. I don't even know why the Bible is even part of the debate. Who cares what some Jewish guy wrote 4000 years ago. This should be a scientific medical debate.

Well i think Kay is a moron. Seriously saying that you don't have the right to get rid of something in your own body is ridiculous. If we don't have the right to our own bodies lets just give up our freedom while we are at it. It is not anyone else's business what one does to their own body. I totally agree with Karina and say its your own body do what you want. Get a life and mind your business. Let everyone do what they want with THEIR own body.
Also just because there is spell check here does not mean your intelligent so don't trash someone else's intelligence.
There again shows your intelligence because you cant even get my name right. It is not called a baby. It is not even a fetus until 7-8 weeks. A FETUS. NOT a BABY. NOT even called a human. F E T U S. I don't care if i wont carry a baby the fact is a person should be able to do what they want. It should not be your concern or anyone else's. Don't you see? Its fools like you that stand out there and wave around signs all day. Get a job or something. If it was a crime there would be a law. So i agree that you people are just crazies just like stated in the question and I agree with Karina. Give it up you will never win this battle.
One last thing before i go to be because i do have a life. I don't like your ridiculous hair color so do i have the right to tell you to get rid of it? It is not natural and i don't like it so let your natural hair color grow back in. Me saying that sounds stupid doesn't it? It is your body and your right to do that crazy stuff to your hair. So imagine what you are saying from our view.
Hey hey, don't be so quick.
1. We have a boy due in March.
2. My wife experienced the .01% of becoming pregnant on birth control. So we did what we needed to do, because we weren't ready.
So when your ready to have a kid, come talk to me.
Are you even old enough to drink? Do not argue with your elders.
This is where i think your brain stopped. There is a big difference between a little spec in your body and a 3 lb baby. Yes i would be upset. It is a baby. But 7 weeks come on get real. Now lets see... Why do they have limit on how long you can wait before you CANT get an abortion??? ITS A FETUS. And as for adult wow. 24?? your still a baby. And now i see why you still lie about your hair because you are a baby. Now run along little girl. When the law states that it is illegal for women to chose their own right to have a baby then it will stop. But as for now SHUT UP. This was not a question for you to trash other peoples opinions it was a question that Brittany asked just to see how many crazy people are really out there.

People tend to interpret what they read to be on their side... which basically means that they are hoping for affirmation that their actions acceptable in all ways and means. It's really sad to point out that people are wrong for being in the "wrong" when they do not agree with you when you're doing the same thing with them.
Let's just put it this way, abortion is wrong because of where it really started. Having sexual relationship outside the boundaries of marriage. I believe that's what makes abortion wrong. Well, let's say you're married and you and your spouse actually conceived a child. If you are not in any serious health risk and you are in the right mind, would you abort the pregnancy? I think not. So this will lead to the reason why abortion is wrong.
Whether the fetus is "alive" or not, that wouldn't be the basis of abortion. Always consider why you would like to have your child's development terminated. Think about it.

I am a christian and I am not sure what those verses say off the top of my head, but many times these things are taken out of context. I personally do not live by the old testament standards (which is where those verses came from), because that was before Jesus came, who taught us to love others. I think that anyone who attacks others in the name of christianity is wrong. The bible specifically told us to believe in Jesus and love one another (1 john 3:23). Jesus himself told anyone who was without sin to cast the first stone at a woman who was being attacked for adultery (and obviously no one is without sin, so no one could judge her) (john 8:3-11).
I believe that Jesus was right, and that anyone who is worried about what others are doing should just love on them, not condemn them, or march outside with pictures of an aborted child, or picket a gay rights parade, or hurt others in the name of christianity. I am more about showing others what I am FOR, not what I am against. Jesus came that we might have life and have it more abundantly, not so we could go around judging others.

You are right that people should never be harassed or abused or threatened for any reason. However you wrong about abortion. You cannot say you are a Catholic and do not consider abortion to be murder. The church does regardless of your personal biblical interpretations. 50 Million abortions have been performed in the USA. 98% had nothing to do with health or rape reasons. There is an average of a seven year waiting list for healthy babies to adopt in most states. No one is saying you need to become some kind of crazy radical, all you need do is vote for pro-life issues and candidates.

I don't know where or what you are reading, but you are wrong. Those Scriptures do not say what you are reading. I think you better read the Bible over again. And God is not causing things like that, what you are saying. It is the evildoers (Satan). Don't you know that Satan is ruling this world right now? Until Jesus comes back, this world is just gonna get worse......We are all gonna die!!!!!!!!!!But we will be resurrected again and brought to judgement day, if we believe, trust and have faith in our Lord and follow his will,, then we will have everlasting Life for eternity.
I will Pray for you. God Bless you and have mercy on your soul. I don't believe in Abortion, that is KILLING a SOUL

Yeah... people tend to think their way is the right way and only way. I dont know why they feel the need to harrass and treat women who get abortions like crap. They should know, in the end God will do the judging, not them. ALl these "I'm so Holy and am putting the good word of the Lord to these horrible women" then they should know that God is , accepting, and understanding. All these religious people claim to live their lives by the bible, but if they did then they would know not to judge others, to forgive others, and to accept others, no matter what, just like God does. A few weeks ago, an abortion clinic was set on fire in my town. They put it out before any damage, but I bet it was one of those anti abortion groups. T

Because some people just can't stand the thought of taking care of their own pathetic lives instead of butting into other peoples.
That's what it comes down to... a bunch of sad little busybodies who's own lives are so boring and meaningless that they feel the need to harass other people to give them "meaning".
It's really sad isn't it?
You can give me a thumbs down... but it's still true.
I'm not saying you can't have an opinion, I'm just saying you shouldn't harass people with it. Just like people who are anti-gay shouldn't be protesting at military funerals etc.

Well I am not religious in any way or say "God" doesn't believe in abortions. I say I don't believe in abortions. To me having an abortion is killing a baby, it is stopping a beating heart. There really is no excuse to have one, you decided to have sex, therefore you need to take the responsibility of the outcome. If you are are mature enough to have sex you are now mature enough to have a child. And saying well you don't know what their situation is, no excuse, sorry it is just not one. I have been in a situation like that, and being at a young age, I knew right from wrong. Yeah there are two opinions, you stated yours and now I have stated mine.
