He's only going to eff the team again when he retires after this season. What a jerk. The contract is for 4 yrs not 2 yrs and ~1/2 a season......grrr!

Mike what was your Q? email moi

50% of Scott Niedermayer is better than 50% of defensemen in the NHL... The Ducks are 1-0-1 w/ him now with both games coming against the Sharks. They've given up ONE goal over that series (a shorthanded tally) and posted their first SO of the season tonight.

Stay retired? Only if you're a Kings fan... Ducks will be back in the mix come the playoffs and as Bob pointed out, likely with a mid-season version of Niedermayer, and dare I say Selanne.

Neidermeyer is an awesome d-man and any team would be freakin lucky to have him. Yes, some players are gonna beat him to the puck and stuff, but that's the same with any player in the league. He's a bit rusty, but it won't take long for him to shake it off.

It's too early to say. LITY, even if it was you coming back today, it would take you 4-5 games to get back into the swing of things. I think you should readdress this question in about 2-3 weeks.

Mike, did you make any new friends from that question last night?

He was probably retired in every sense of the word. It'll take a while to get his legs back and he'll be the same old Scott that we all know.

I was thinking about the whole Scott situation and how it will be great for him and the Quacks in the play-offs when everyone else has played a long season and he will be in mid-season form.
To answer your question, yes, he sucks.

Could be he needs time to... get his legs under him... Haha, maybe it'll take him FIVE MONTHS to do that.

If he's going to be playing at a much lower level... Isn't that insult to injury for the Ducks? Ouch.

i think it will take a few games for him to get his timing back, but as far as saving mike's team i think mike is stroking himself heavily! lol
