Does anyone know how to remove a shadow from a black and white scanned photo? The shadow is in front of the subject.

That's sounds like what I'm looking for. Thanks Bob :)

You don't "remove it" as such, you need to select the shadowed area and have a play with levels and curves and hue saturation and probably dodge and burn to bring out the colours in the shadowed area.
