I am going to have a terribly busy day at work today, so I am going to ask an extremely silly question, to give me something to laugh before I leave work tonight.

If you were a current player in the NHL, and you had a superpower, that was better than anyone in the history of the NHL (yet your other skills were average), what would that superpower be?

Example:

What are you opinions on the recent change of text in the Book of Mormon?

It used to say...

"After thousands of years, all were destroyed except the Lamanites, and they are the PRINCIPAL ancestors of the American Indians.”


Now it says....
“After thousands of years, all were destroyed except the Lamanites, and they are AMOUNG the ancestors of the American Indians.”


The interesting thing is this change is not published anywhere. Additionally, the new Doubleday Edition still lists itself as a first edition. I am no publisher, but my understanding was when you made changes, you listed it as a second, third, etc. edition. The second edition also indicates that it is still first printing, which would be impossible since the change was made.

Santa can no longer say ho, ho, ho in Australia because it can be considered offensive to women. GIVE ME A BREAK!! LEAVE CHRISTMAS ALONE!!! Like Santa Clause is such a sexist pig, he calls women ho's, not once, but three consecutive times.

My family was borerline poor my entire childhood but I did have a great childhood and I like to think I turned out to be a great person. But I was a "latch-key kid" and my father was a drinker being at the bar, playing poker and losing money, often during the week. My mother is a great lady and did a good job with me but she worked late and never handled money well, spent a lot of money on the house decorating and stuff, way past the point of necessary. She was one to drink at home alone almost everynight. I grew up, graduated high school when my parents split. My parents were strong into believing I went ot college and I did. But they were never there to help me after I left home, my father was depressed about the split and my mother turned into a lady I have never known, she started hanging out with her girlfriends and going to dance clubs. I never got help with money or even any advise, now I am graduated college and have a job that hardly pays the bills, should ibe resentful?

I was just recently was in a whirlwind relationship that has left me heartbroken and crushed. This is the first time I have ever given my heart to someone without any inhibitions and became completely vulnerable. I have always been very guarded when it comes to that. I was never willing to “put myself out there” completely and I finally did it with this person. And you know what? Its not that bad. Yes, I hurt, but one good thing came out of this, I know I am able to have this type of “real” relationship.

My question is, what do I do next? This is very fresh breakup and I am not sure what to do. How to proceed with my life. Do I grieve? Do I date? What is next?

For years, back in the late seventies, Toyota made a better
car than the US did, but that all ended years ago, now Ford
and GM and Chrysler have as many good cars as Toyota.

continue to buy Jap cars due to the hype.
The Toyota Camry gets the EXACT same gas mileage as
a new Tahoe. GM has 19 cars that get over 30 MPG, Toyota has only 9.
And the Toyota trucks have LOWER MPG than American
trucks, the new Tacoma had 100,000 of the 135,000
that were sold RECALLED for torque converter problems,
they pull NOWHERE near the capacity that they advertise,
and they are butt ugly.

Seems people who like Bush do not like Clinton .
How about the truth is that both of them are wrong .

That selling out American jobs and creating massive debts is whats wrong .

That illegals really do not belong here regardless of how much help they are in the service industry .

That unless we begin to solve problems using modern solutions and new Ideas we will continue to repeat the past .

I know that what has happened in the past has been a miserable failure .

That the policies of this government has lead to oppression , war , and the deaths of millions of people and that was just during our own Civil War .
That Sherman's march through the south resulted in communities of people being burned out and women raped and young and old men shot and killed where they stood unarmed .

If we as a people resort to violence to solve our problems then nothing is ever going to change .

Blaming the democrats or republicans for any war misses the point entirely .

I have a 2000 VW Beetle...it has recently started giving me problems and we are trying to figure out what we are dealing with. The car shuts off everytime I stop at a red light, stop sign, slow down to make a turn...etc. anytime im idoling. well when it shuts off, the battery is dead and has to be charged/jumped off to get the car on again. We assumed (because of the symptoms) that it was the battery...had the battery checked, it was very low, charged it...then the mechanic told me it was fine...it had gotten up to 12 volts. Well.....he told me maybe it was the alternator....checked the alternator....no problem there. So now the car wont crank at all....battery is dead. Anyone who knows about cars....is this a battery problem...or do you know of anything else that could be causing the battery to get so weak it wont even crank now. (I'm just curious as to what I'm dealing with as far as costs are concerned) Thanks!

Ok, my credit card payments are due on the 25th of each month. Now i wanted to know at what date before the 25th if i where to buy somthing, it would not show up as being late. Say i buy somthing before the 25th, they WILL NOT add the payment to be due for that perchase on the 25 of this month but next month. What im asking is how many days before the payment is due will they charge me a purchas for next month but not this month.

And another question, how bad is it to be late on a credit card for about 2 weeks on say about $150 dollars?
