i have it at the bottom of my lip and my hands i have prescription cream for my hands but, not my lip. however i've used burts beeswax chapstick for years and this helps the itchiness and burning go away. i also bought abreva (really expensive like $22 for a tube about an inch big) and that seems to help almost dry it up completely!

Please follow the advice of the writers who have sort medical treatment for the condition. Your daughter's ped. can suggest something or refer you to a dermatologist. She is young and you need to be aggressive in caring for eczema so she does not get scars. I am a nurse and also has a daughter that has eczema. Seek medical treatment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

cortizone prescribed by a dr. if that doesnt work you may need to give her oral steroids prescribed by a doc to help with inflamation. a mild very extremly mild solution of water and clorox also helps. like a teaspoon of bleach to a cup of water. it kills germs that get in the skin cracks and make eczema worse.

Have you got steroid cream from your G.P? My daughter had a tiny patch of it on her mouth when she was three, and the doctor gave me some steroid cream that had to be applied three times a day and he said use aqueous cream as much as possible,it did take a good few months to heal but she is five now and its never came back.

A friend of ours used to work as a doctor on the dermatology ward at our local hospital, and they used Aveeno, which is an oatmeal based skin care range. I used it on my son's very dry skin, and it is very good, and safe to use, they do lip balms.

I used Hydrocoristone cream. I went to the chemist and he advised me to use it even though it says on the tube not to put it near your mouth. He told me to be very careful when using it and only apply a small amount to the area. It was the only thing that worked for me.
