1. Proceed over to neighbors ASAP.
2. Ring the doorbell and wait for an answer.
3. When answered come up with an excuse to get in the front door. Asking to borrow some flour, sugar, etc. is the perfect in.
4. While they are off getting said item proceed to rub vigorously the sole of your shoe on the carpet or rug. Be careful to pay attention to the sides of the shoe as many times the consistency of the crap allows it to run up above the sole.
5. When the neighbor returns to the door with the item thank them politely, but quickly, and exit back the way you came.
Or, a hose / a water source works just fine.

Not the fastest way, but the kindest to your nose....put the shoe in the washing machine on a quick wash. I had to do this just yesterday for my youngest son - granted the offensive shoe was a trainer and they're generally washable. Came out sparkling clean. Dried overnight in the airing cupboard. Hey presto - crap free.

scrape shoe on curb.no curb ,scrape on grass. no curb or grass use a twig from nearby bush or found on ground. after doing these tips ,find a water source perferably with a spray nozzle. spray only the sole of the shoe.or where ever the offending matter is on the shoe . if soap of any kind is around use it for the smell and sanitary reasons. remember to wash your own hands afterwards. thank you.

Wash the shoe & pants by hand in the kitchen sink, with some detergent (laundry soap) to get the worst off before putting in the washing machine.

fastest? throw it away....LOL...second fastest..get an old pan or something you find outside you dont need. put about a 1/2 inch of water in in and let the bottom of the shoe soak....30 min later lightly spray it with the waterhose and it will be perfect....key is to let it soak

An outside hose. Or if you have a shower hose type in your tub/shower, hold it under that, the bottom of it, that is. I have had this problem a lot. Might have to take an old tooth brush to it too.

Don't walk in it. Wash it off under an outside tap.
Find the selfish person who let their dog mess and wipe it on them.

Use a stick, then a high-powered hose. Or wipe it off on the grass.
