More immigrants are better for the bosses who get more cheap labour and avoid having to train up young Brits. It saves them money so they can buy bigger villas in the Algarve. Its better for the Government because they get more taxes to piss up the wall.

For the average low paid British worker it is bad news.

What you have to ask yourself is... Was it better for Britain to Colonize half the world.. Brits are everywhere on this planet and thats OK.. but what if other people started asking the same questions about Brits? Immigration is good for the world, or at least thats what Europeans thought when the set out to conquer and rob the world

First things first im not racist in any way shape or form, but i think not to your question and heres the reason why
I have been living in the army with my husband for the past 6 years we recently split and i had to move back into my mothers house with 4 kids, we all share one room and are now 8 of us in a 3 bed house, I am on the homeless list and have been for 3 month, only because of all the immigrants needing homes they are awared before me, Britan doesnt have enough homes to deal with the people already here never mind new ones coming over

Sorry

i think some of you lot should realise that when there is a ? after something it usually means it is a question. as one person has said, controlled immigration is a good thing, but i think it is very plain to see new labour have no control over this or any other policy. and can only smear people when they point out their shortcomings. what a shame when they promised so much and promised to be so different.

Immigration is good...up to a point. The problems arise when too many try to get in and become a burden by wanting free housing, food and handouts.
People who are genuinely here to work, fine but unless they have a work permit/visa (like Australia) they should be refused entry. If Australia can do it, why can't we?

The economic benefits of immigrants far outweigh any costs involved. The reason most people are against them is because they think they take jobs that British people could and should be doing. However, the truth is that we need immigrants in this country precisely because the indigenous population is unwilling to do lower skilled work.

As far as I am concerned, the more immigrants that come into this country, the better, provided that they are properly cared for and that we plan ahead when considering their need for housing and other social provisions.

Yes. BUT... Britain MUST force immigrants to assimilate to your culture so that they ARE British.

Not ONE country throughout history has EVER been successful OR SURVIVED when they became multi-cultural.

You can not have a multi-cultural country and expect to survive. You CAN have immigrants, though. They MUST become the culture that Britain's actually are, or it won't work.

Hmmm! So your trying to play devil's advocate now, looking for negative answers to your "question" in order to stir up hatred against immigrants.

I was about to call you Roy, but I think you must be some other BNP activist, since I don't think Roy West is clever enough to come up with a ploy like this.

Anyway, the answer is that a certain level of immigration is good for the UK. Whether we have reached or passed the stage where it is becoming a problem is a matter for debate. You and your BNP cronies seem completely incapable of adding anything constructive to that debate, however.

Britain held the greatest empire the world has ever seen.

We were the worlds richest and most respected land.

we civilised half of the world.

We fought off the highly trained and equipped army of the third reich.

We did it all without immigrants.

Uncannily,Britain has begun its descent into oblivion only since immigration began.
