I am asking because recently, I did somethings that I am not too proud of and I apologized because I really feel bad about it and I just wanted to express that to the person I offended. Even though, I apologized, I still feel bad. I know that just because you apologize that doesn't guarantee it'll be accepted but, doesn't it count for something? I'm trying not to beat myself up, but, I feel bad about it. And just in case you were wondering, what I did was wrong but, it wasn't life altering or anything. Things just got out of hand and there were a lot of emotions involved.

A visiting professor at Clemson University is giving a seminar
on the supernatural. To get a feel for his audience, he asks:
"How many people here believe in ghosts?" About 90 students
raise their hands.

"Well that's a good start. Out of those of you who believe in
ghosts, do any of you think you've ever seen a ghost?" About 40
students raise their hands.

"That's really good. I'm really glad you take this seriously.
Has anyone here ever talked to a ghost?"--15 students raise
their hands.

"That's a great response. Has anyone here ever touched a
ghost?"--3 students raise their hands.

"That's fantastic. But let me ask you one question
further...Have any of you ever made love to a ghost?

One student in the back raises his hand. The professor is
astonished. He takes off glasses, takes a step back, and says,
"Son, all the years I've been giving this lecture, no one has
ever claimed to have slept with a ghost. You've got to come up
here and tell us about your experience.

The redneck student replies with a nod and begins to make his
way up to the podium. The professor says, "Well, tell us what
it's like to have sex with a ghost.

The student replies, "Ghost?!?"

"Dang it, I thought you said 'goats'."

my other question '' does anyone else feel like the minority now '' seems to have caused some reaction . The question has NO racest implications at all , and is a perfectly good question to ask . However , some people out there seem to think i'm a racest . If people cant read the whole question properly , please dont reply and start blabing about BNP and UKIP . ILLEGAL immigrants do get money to live , they get a house or prison ( we pay for both ) , they get fed , they get health services . ALL workers ( including me markymark) pay our taxes and that goes towards keeping them housed/fed and looked after .my question was aimed at ILLEGAL immigrants , NOT legal immigrants who do honest work for an honest pay . Thank you

Kids need to be outdoors for playing - they need yard.
Kids need stability of living in an OWNED home.
Kids make noice which disturbs neighbours - apartments are even harder to contain noice in.
Apartment kids have no contact with nature - eg. dont have gardens etc.
Parents who live in apartments and then have kids will find it more difficult to save $ for home ownership.

Sooooo Basically I am saying people should buy a home first BEFORE having kids - or simply NOT HAVE KIDS!

I have not seen 1 advantage or 1 good reason why kids are better in apartments - I dont want answers from selfish points of view - I want answers as to WHY ITS BETTER FOR KIDS TO BE IN APARTMENTS???

I know that they are the only ones who can help themselves...BUT...she has a 6 yr old son, is almost 40, has a habit of managing her time (even working hours) around pick up or eating of fast food, knows that she is at that 'age' where it is now more than detrimental for her life span...etc..etc..
There must be a way above and beyond all the above to prove that it is now not 'embarassement', but 'necessity for her life' that is paramount...The six year old son is starting to speak of his Mom's weight and how she looks different, but really, really loves her as she is so good about Mothering.....Help!!!!

I lived with my mum until I was 9 and then she tried to put me into foster are, because me and my stepdad argued to the point that one of us had to go. Luckily, I moved in with my Dad. Unluckily he's an alcoholic and his wifes a witch who used to scratch my face and pull my hair. I worked real hard and moved out when I was 17 (19 now).

My problem is, my younger siblings still live with the parents. Luckly my Dad has stopped drinking, but the kids who live with my Mum aren't living as a child should. Our mum drinks a lot and her husbands a nasty man. They're not being encouraged to look after themselves because their parents don't brush their teeth, wash, or take care of themselves. They just sit and smoke weed all day.

They seem to think badly of anyone who has any ambition and don't mind my brothers not attending school. I'm worried they'll grow up to be just like them.

I wanna help but I can't afford to take them in, what should I do?

My 3 y.o is having his back lower molar extracted tomorrow which he had a metal cap put on 2 months ago but the tooth became infected and now they want to pull it. I am very distraught over this. I was up all night worrying about it. My son is not comfortable with the dentist and we actually are switching to a new dentist but new dentist won't pull the tooth since the other dentist capped it. When we had the metal cap put on the dentist strapped my son to a chair and ever since then my son is deathly afraid. (can you blame him) I'm worried about what will happen tomorrow. What is the worst case scenario? Has any child ever died from an extraction? What if he won't keep the gauze in his mouth, will he bleed to death or something? Am I overreacting? He is only 3 years old.

i just came across this snippet of a story. frankly, i don't think this is news at all. i don't think the owners will actually make the nets bigger. even by a few inches.

here's my opinion ...

leave the nets alone. if you change anything, decrease pad sizes.
keep luongo. (although i wonder if he was exaggerating about leaving if they made the nets bigger)
don't worry about scoring. for now. give it a rest. but keep an eye an it.
