what crickets like to eat? if i crush up some sleeping pills and smear whatever they like to eat on it, do you think it will knock the cricket out?

I think that would probably kill the cricket. Since the dosages are meant for humans. If you mean knock him out as in take a dirt nap then yeah I think so.
Crickets are omnivores and feed on almost anything-usually organic materials, plant decay, grass, fruits, seedling plants, fungi and even meat.
